Found a site that had the original version and played it 3 or 4 times this weekend. And now Atari Breakout on Google images has ruined productivity for the rest of the day.

Redzone effectiveness is our Achilles heel - walking away with field goals instead of TDs. And our rush D against Bama last time wasn't very effective either.

Eh, he just shortened the official name a bit, is all. Virginia (Poly)Tech(nic) (Institute and State) University. See, it still works. Sorta. Point is, if the guy can play for Grimes and he qualifies, that's good enough for me.

We recruited Golson hard (makes sense, total Tyrod doppleganger), so if he calls us up, would you give him another chance?

(That said, he doesn't fit the Loeffler model well. The kid from Okie State did that better. But, we might be a good place for a transfer QB, sit out a year and get a chance to beat out Leal, Bucky and (hopefully) Parks)

"Missed tackles are devastating against the Tide." If I was Beamer, I'd have full-contact practices almost every day. My message to the defense: Tackle, tackle, tackle, tackle, for the love of all that is good and green in this world, tackle and don't miss.

The End

i think the key to this game is getting logan into third and shorts. I know that sounds like common sense, but man if we have the read option along with the PA deep threat going with a regular passing attack we can hang with bama, of course those are big IFs. If I were beamer my game plan would be to come at them running a lot, establish the trenches early and grind this baby out

Thanks for sharing. I was actually just looking over the box scores from Alabama's games against a&m and UGA to see if the stats provided any insight to what they did right. (I know, UGA still lost, but they stayed with them and had there been 10 more seconds on the clock, they very well may have won). Both UGA and a&m won the turnover battle. A&m converted third downs at a kind of ridiculous rate (11 for 18) and eight of those conversions were 3rd and 4 or longer. It was interesting that UGA came as close as they did only converting 4 out of 12 third downs. Also, I didn't realize that the three picks McCarron threw in those two games were the only 3 picks he threw all season. Like you said its all pretty obvious; I think the formula for winning any game is more-or-less the same, but it's still fun to read about in the off-season. BEATBAMA.

Every single member of the defensive line made the list of stars. One of the backups on the defensive line made the list. Dadi Nicholas would have made the list too if he got much playing time...feels pretty good.

BF3 FTW. I've sunk a depressingly unmentionable amount of hours on that game.

Tech's regional is paired with the LSU regional...so if Tech advances they would go to Baton Rogue since they're a higher rated seed! Tech could host if LSU loses but highly unlikely

And that's why you always had to make sure to get him early. Better you than the computer/other player

so how does it work for the next round? assuming vt wins the region what are the odds we'd host a super regional?

i know i'm gettting ahead of myself, just curious.

At the end of the day...it's just a game. If our player and fans are not safe, then we won't go there. That horrible night/couch burning fiasco was the last straw for Beamer and Weaver. Not only did their "fans" throw batteries at our players, but there are accounts of fans/alumni being jumped and threatened by them. I remember one where some idiots (sorry, no better term) tried to beat up a 40 year old guy and his 10 year old daughter! Unacceptable.

Wonder why no other conference wanted them? Not me.

I, for one, would never support us going back to Mtown. At least until their fans appreciate the sport.
