Still, bravo to you and your enormous cojones.
While were stating the obvious, there's one foolproof way to guarantee winning...scoring more points than bama does.
For me taking time off the clock is the most crucial aspect of this game.
Let's not kid ourselves. They have superior athletes and talent. The longer the game goes on the more opportunities they have to showcase it. Run the ball effectively, run the play clock low, get TDs in the redzone.
To me the most crucial aspect of the game is OUR running game.
If we can run we will:
- Take time off the clock
- Make LT more relaxed
- Limit our D's time on the field (last time we were playing them well until we were gassed)
- Set up play actions for Knowles (And I'd add JC in there for his speed -- yes JC for CATCHING balls)
Ahhh I didn't realize O'Brien was transferring under the Russel Wilson rule. Thanks for clarifying.
The robber coverage got him against A&M. Thought he was reading cover 2, safety dropped down, rocked the receiver, ball popped up and got picked off.
I guess having the regionals wont hurt.
Houckie was making a joke. I hope.
I think he means blowing coverages because people miscommunicate before the play, or two players think its a different scheme kind of thing. I've seen it happen far to many times
ohhhhhh FIFA... how much of my soul youve consumed in the past few years
I don't really understand where you're coming from with that. Can you explain a bit more?
Hit him early and throw some robber coverages at him. #FaycsonIslandDaycare For Cooper?

# | Bitter blog - Would Virginia Tech want to play West Virginia in football again? If I was a man I would not have done it. :)
edit: nevermind
I believe you're right, transferring to I-AA or lower from I-A precludes the need for a redshirt/break year, and allows for immediate playing time.
If you transfer to a 1-A school, you sit. O'Brien didn't sit out because he got his Bachelor's degree and transfered to Wiscy to enroll in a graduate program that wasn't offered at Maryland. Same type of deal with Russel Wilson. Pretty sure you generally don't have to sit out a year if you transfer to a 1-AA (FCS) school, but I may have just made that up.
But only just.
I believe that when you transfer, you cannot transfer to a school in your conference, or any school that your current coach chooses to prevent you from playing for. If you choose to transfer to one of the schools in your conference or on the coach's list, you must sit out a year.
When Danny O'Brien transferred from UMD to Wiscy, he played immediately.
I didn't look this up, just going off memory, so please correct me if I'm wrong.
"We should also score more points than they do."
-John Madden approves this message
He's better than McElroy, but I'm still not sure he's ever been asked to throw against more than single coverage in his career at bama
war never changes
fuckin fallout 3. i remember the first time i walked over the ridge and saw downtown dc in the distance for the first time. it wasnt definitely a keanu level "whoooa" moment. that game just. . . wow. played through all the way twice. my second character was named tyrod and i did my best to make him look like t-mobile, but with a scraggly beard. probably about 300 hours of my life sunk into that game.
3 stars? So what? As long as they don't mind to lay down nasty pancakes and rip off helmets, I would be a happy camper. James Gayle will be glad he won't have to go against them in practice.
It all boils down to one often overlook aspect of success: communication.
This. 100x This.
'7 ways to beat Alabama'... alternatively titled '7 ways to beat any football team... it's just harder to accomplish against good ones like Alabama'. But fine. It's the off season. Really not much to write about now. So I'll give the author a pass.

Well, I'm sure they didn't expect Shane Graham to make that field goal in '99 either. Call it even?
