Here's my two cents regarding this whole Logan issue. In the two years I've seen Logan start, I've seen him have exactly ONE, maybe TWO good games in his entire career. 2011 Miami and 2012 Duke. That's it. People will point to the fact that his stats aren't that terrible, but for me, he just doesn't pass the eye test. That's why I was not that upset when speculation came out that Logan might go pro. I was fully prepared to not deal with the headache of watching him play QB again. I'm not saying by any measure that Leal is better RIGHT NOW, but I think the time has come to at least pay some consideration to Leal this season, especially if Logan continues to play poorly down the stretch. If #BEATBAMA does not go as planned, that is the outlier to this data set, because not many could beat that defense. In any case, Leal should not be the starter heading into #BEATBAMA, but I think he definitely warrants consideration. His arm strength may not be stellar, but Leal does go through progressions, and seems to be fairly accurate. A dink and dunk offense can work if Leal is put in, and I think it would actually help the passing game to do something like that, should the situation arise. I'm still going to be patient with Logan, but that patience is definitely wearing thin.
The defense wasn't allowed to blitz and i heard LT kill 2 or 3 plays at the line.

Generally agree, except for "no one was seriously hurt." You don't get a MW charge if you didn't seriously hurt the other guy.
Keep in mind that the QB's were not allowed to audible out of any plays regardless if they read blitz or change coverage, just ran the play that was called, they most likely would have changed the play at the line of scrimmage on several of the running plays.
I agree Mr. Sorrell...how about everyone remember the Golden Rule...would YOU like to be accused and negatively speculated on in this manner before hardly any facts came out? First, let's be thankful no one was seriously hurt. Second, this is one of our team members...let's give the benefit of the doubt and not be fair weather fans. Let he of you that has never been falsely accused, or stumbled into a bad situation and had his hand forced, cast the first stone. How about taking all the negative speculation energy and put it into prayers and well-wishes for justice and the best outcome for all involved and affected? Come on, people, we're better than this!
Has anyone actually confirmed that he was stabbed? From what everyone says about malicious wounding, if the skin is broken, which can easily be done by pounding someone, then that would count.
Kind of sad to see so many people dismiss him when the true and final story isn't out yet.
Somebody "invent the (goddamned) future"... then go IN to that future and tell Mr. Holmes to not make a bad decision, regardless of his position on the depth chart; I've always liked the idea that Captain Frank ran a fair but tight ship... but now this jackhole is gonna get a blurb on ESPN....
My concern right now is at what point do you entertain a qb battle if Logan continues to struggle?
We'll all be paying close attention this Summer and I'm concerned that reports will continue of Logan's struggles. I think there needs to be a point where Loeffler says "Hmm...I thought Logan would be somewhere else by now and just maybe announcing an open battle could help". Right now I think its clear Logan is our starter and we need to remain optimistic but I think there is a threshold that cannot be later then week 3 of the season if Logan's improved mechanics don't translate to actual decent mediocre play.

I thought "Fisher, Harrison and Reavis....pretty stacked at FS/Rov/Whip for the future." Then I thought, "Hmmm...Fisher hasn't qualified yet and Harrison is a 4* recruit out of Florida, so you can be sure that he will have a FL school's commitment letter in front of him on signing day."
It's a long way away, but it sure would be nice to have all three of these guys actually in camp at some point...

Very excited to hear the good news regarding Ken Ekanem. I feel like there hasn't been a lot of hype coming out about him in light of all the depth we have at DE this year. He had a whole host of offers, including Michigan and Notre Dame. I also recall Foster saying that Ekanem was the best defensive player in VA in 2011. High words of praise for sure. I'm looking forward to seeing if he can crack the two deep this fall and become a major contributor over time.

He cut his non throwing hand across the base of his thumb. He came over to get it checked out and the trainers just wiped the blood off and sent him back out. It looked like he was asking them for a spray and to cover it but the trainers didn't seem very concerned. I think it took him coming to them 3-4 times before they finally taped it up.
Saban hardly seemed impressed after he won the National Championship. I doubt he's every really happy.

Could have been some dumb drunk kids talking smack as they walked by. Happens all the time. I'm waiting this one out. I've gotten into fights myself when my girl is involved.
Hopefully they won't be ready for another kick-off return. Dyrell Roberts made that beast with that stiff-arm.
