I don't think anyone actually thought that Beamer would go with a complete change in mindset on offense. I think Loeffler will do okay as long as they're able to get someone in to develop the O line better.

If the offense can start making some sustained drive and putting even a modicum more points on the board than last year, VT will be in a much better place; and, at least right now, he represents something new and exciting in Blacksburg. Let's just hope he can help the team achieve something exciting next season.

It is not a bad hire, and it is certainly not a shoe-knocking hammer throw of a signing, either. It's adequate, and will do nicely enough for what Virginia Tech is under Frank Beamer: a defensive team that scores points through field position and, at one point in the past, through special teams.

Very true. A very good fit for Foster's defense. Anyone who wanted an AirRaid offense should just start making out with their cousin now.

I handled the JMU game surprisingly well. I laughed that one off. I hate the fact that many Tech and JMU fans despise the other now. I still root for JMU at every chance for state pride reasons (I will never root for UVA, though, unless they are playing against WVU. Then I don't care who wins.) It took me a while to start rooting for the Dukes again, but I got over it after we won the ACCCG that year, because I felt like we wouldn't have won those 11 straight games without losing to JMU.

Order since 2004 when I was in first grade and really started keeping up with Tech football.
1) Boise State 2010-11
2) Michigan 2011-12
3) Boston College 2007-08 (became better when we won the ACCCG)
4) Miami and FSU 2005-06
5) Auburn 2004-05
6) ECU 2008-09
7) Georgia Tech 2009-10
8) Florida State 2012-13
9) UNC 2009-10
10) Cincinnati 2012-13

Just mingles around the weight room a lot waiting on spring ball and from the stuff I hear out of his mouth, I don't think I'd trust anything as truth

so he has 2 years left (2013 and 2014). Guessing he stays. He will most likely be the starter in 2014. Would love to see some plays where he and LT3 are both in the game at the same time (LT3 running TE, Flanker)...could run or pass!

We will definately need him in opener against Bama, no question. I believe with Loeffler, Logan will get better mechanically and he'll be smarter throwing the football and not trying to force as much like he did this past year. The O-line will be more important in my opinion. Hopefully with the new OL coach, we will see an improved OL next year, because without that, it doesn't matter who is at QB.

said on air that Scot Loeffler is expected to be named new OC, even though nothing final has come out of Blacksburg.... or something similar to that

Something real special must have happened this season between all these players. You heard them all saying it in interviews. All three of these guys coming back is the greatest proof that while we were getting all angry and frustrated (myself included) this past year, this team was getting closer together. The attitudes of our players, and their character. That is what makes me so proud to have Frank Beamer as a head coach. It wasn't all talk infront of the cameras. I believe something real special happened in the locker room this season, and these guys are going to help bring it back to BEAT BAMA. Team Leadership will not be a problem next year. GO HOKIES

LT3 coming back and all this #BeatBama talk is making me feel like we need to take it upon ourselves to put together a spoof of the ESPN "Roll Tide" Commercial, whether its through voiceover of the original or user clips spliced together.

That is all. #BeatBama
