Well, this is what happens when you invest your emotions into a team/coach. Look, maybe this isn't true, but I sure do feel like it probably is.
It hurts right now, and now isn't the time to put blame out there. I think I remember seeing something posted on this site that said Beamer has been talking to other candidates for the job.
Don't forget how awful our offense was/is. It has to get better with any type of change that doesn't involve somebody named O'Cain or Stinespring right?
Relax guys, yes this sucks but we are still (I think) in the market for an OC, we could still land someone. And let's face it, our style isn't getting the sexy guy, it's getting a nobody and letting them become even better than the other guy.

For the simple fact that the moved should have been made after the 2006 season. We were still a HOT team, bud had just produced 2 top defenses just finished getting TT to commit instead old Frank stuck with Stiney, and over the course of the next 4 Seasons stiney did nothing not even a top 20 offense and with arguably the best offensive talent at every positions we ever had. I hate to say this Hokie fans but unless we pull some young gun under the Radar and Frank keeps his hands off of the offense, we are in for alot more 7 win seasons and it makes me wanna puke.

We don't know for certain that there will be a new OC. There's been no official word on a firing or a change in position within the football staff yet. It's all speculation until there is word from VT.
As much as I'd like to see a new OC, it wouldn't surprise me if it was the same thing next season.

This was my concern with waiting for the bowl game to be played and then still having nothing announced. Beamer should have been looking after the 7th game of the season and sending out feelers. You can't wait. Tech did the same with firing Greenberg. I partially feel if this process was started soon (3 seasons ago) we would have had a better pool of candidates to choose from. I don't feel strongly about anyone available right now. We needed an OC who would come in and run an offense to compliment the D.

If there is a new OC in Blacksburg, I'll be surprised if he has any prior OC experience in any of the "power" conferences.
We should be use to this. We always get are legs ripped out from under us i.e last second comebacks that we are usually on the wrong end of, blown calls, lost recruits before national signing day etc. We all still come back to the games, to this site because we love VT. We know for certain that we are getting a new offensive coordinator that much we do know who its going to be is another question. But at the beginning of the season or even after the Clemson game if you were to tell any vt fan we were getting a new offeensive coordinator we wouldn't have cared if it was a bum of the street as long as ocainspring was gone.

I'm more inclined to believe this than the rumors of him coming to VT. We were already living on a prayer when its been stated that his interviewing with us was a ploy to pull more money from Stanford.
I mean, I hope this isn't true...but I wouldn't be surprised if it is.

There is nothing confirmed that even this is the case. This could be just as false as the reports saying he is coming.
VTScoopStaff who runs the board says there will be a new OC. They also said Pep wasn't the only top-shelf OC they interviews, but why aren't they giving out names is what is pissing me off.
Not even a Google search is giving me any luck.
