If the coaching staff is blaming Logan's poor performance on the qb school in calif.... Why the hell has Mike O'cain not fixed him by the 11th game of the saeson?!?!

which is turn allows B1G to hit up whichever network wins their next television rights for that much more in revenue. Current speculation is that with these two schools added, their next tv deal in 2016 will provide each school compensation in the $30-$33 million per season range, while retaining the third tier game rights in basketball and football, which could mean an additional $2-$3 million per year per school if handled correctly. (This is something the ACC just signed over for little to no compensation to ESPN) Maryland gives the B1G ready access to their alumni base in the DC market and Rutgers somewhat gives them access to their NY/NJ alumni. Dont be surprised to see alot of Maryland "home" games played at FedEx field to account for the alumni of the other school.

He's been playing like that all season, and it's been noticable. I firmly believe that he was benched due to the public outrage that resulted from the video. Honestly, the FSU game wasn't even close to his worst of the season with regards to blocking and effort.

I'm pissed off too 1985Hokie. There were several other games, plays, and instances where I saw Marcus Davis half-assing his duties and I didn't need replay or to watch hours of film every week. It's in plain sight so I don't give the coaches a lot of credit.

Here are the two scenarios I see.
1) The coaches finally reacted to Davis's inconsistent play based on their own observation. Which my question to that would be, what the hell took so long?

2) The coaches saw 'The Vid' and heard all the buzz around it and then decided to bench him. Which completely flies in the face of their established stance that they don't pay attention to outside opinions about the football program.

In either case the coaches are in the wrong.

isn't in the conversation re: the B1G. If they leave, it'll be going to the Big 12 with a remote shot at going to the SEC. GT is a major player in this and as far as having to be adjacent to an existing B1G state ... whatever ... the Prez's will just cross that out of the bylaws (if it's even there)

Kansas may end up in the B1G according to some .. but who knows?

As I see it, the remaining B1G targets will come from one of the following schools:
Syracuse, Pitt, Kansas, Missouri, UNC, UVA, VT being a remote possibility

SEC: VT and NC State (but they'd rather have UNC .. UVA remote possibility)

Big 12: picking off the ACC (FSU, Clemson, GT possibly, maybe BYU??)

FWIW -- I'm pretty sure he was being benched before the video was released. The coaches watch hours of film every week. Give them a little credit. They saw the plays in that video long before we did.

best memory was in 08... uva had to beat us to get to a bowl game. before every game that season, a guy at the tailgate did this big toast that always goT everybody pumped for the game. for the uva game, he ended it by singing, in reference to uva, "i'llllllll be hommmmmme for christmassssss". so funny.

i've been going to the tech-uva games in lane my entire life... first experience in c-ville was '03. ugh. went back in '05, '07, '09, and '11, and each victory was more sweet than the last.

KEEP THE STREAK GOING!

I live in Hoo'ville and I like living here.

Yes, there are raging douches around here, but it's actually a fucking nice area in which to live. There are a surprising number of Hokies who live in the Charlottesville-Albemarle area, and I wear my orange & maroon with pride.

One big difference between Blacksburg (which I absolutely love and my pipe dream is to retire there) and Charlottesville: UVA actually doesn't dominate this town.

Then again, the Hoos really don't dominate anything.

Sure seemed like it! A bunch of strange bounces and the ball happening to go to the place our guys weren't. A lot of that led to them getting second chance points that really affected the game. I'm not too concerned though.

I got that old feeling in the pit of my stomach when UNC-G went ahead with 4 mins left. I was happy to see them take the steps necessary to come away with the win. Last year spiked my blood pressure way too much with all the close loses....

say, "Man, this is a fun game to watch." Is something new to hear regarding our basketball team. For years I could take or leave watching BBall as it is lower on the totem pole in terms of interest. I've made a concerted effort the last two to three years to buy in and watch though and have seen a total transformation even in that time. I really like the life and reliance on another Johnson has instilled in them. They're young and the ACC slate has yet to unfold but I'll take the small successes thus far.

But other than that great game. We gave up 11 offensive rebounds, but UNCG shot 35 threes and also had a few airballs with guys sitting right under the hoop. I would say half of the O Rebs we gave up were weird ones.

I talked myself into being a fan of defensive basketball (which wasnt hard since I worship at the altar of Bud) and I think Jamon Gordon may always be my favorite Hokie...but this team is so much fun to watch. We look fluid and fearless on offense. I think the conference schedule will not be so kind, but looking forward to the rest of the season. And thank goodness for ESPN3!

Really appreciate these recaps, I've been watching all the games too and it looks like I'm not the only one noticing that JJ has this team going in the right direction. They can shoot, and there's almost no stopping them when they're on. If we can beat App State then Iowa followed by OK State will be huge. Everyone needs to show up, I know people haven't been showing up for the first couple of games, but these two are going to be big. We're playing good teams and with how young we are a good crowd can will them to a win.

On a side note, CHAMINADE!!!!

Good to see us 4-0. Even though we had to pull out the win late, any road win is good, especially for this team.

isnt there some rule in the BIG that they must boarder a state already obtaining a BIG member or is this false. If true that tosses them out of the mix and more likely SEC or BIG12 material. Maybe in the shear madness of conference expansion this rule is waved.

Not as good as Tiquan Underwood's.

My UVA story goes like this.....

99 was my 1st year at Tech and a bunch of us made the trip up there to see a r-freshman MV7 embarras these jokers on national TV. The night before the game, we went out to the bars (fake IDs in hand), for some serious intoxication.

Went to strike up a conversation with some ladies (I guess beer goggles even make UVA sloots look approachable) but before we could a word out, the leader of the pretentious pack of Hoo ho's declared ...."You guys must be from Tech"....with her nose high in the air.

Noticing none of us was actually wearing any VT gear at the time, my only guess was that we were drinking beer instead of Zima. But still I had to know so I asked her...."Of course we are from Tech, but how did you know?"

"Because you are the only guys here wearing jeans..."

Who the fuck wears Dockers to a bar?? Every D-Bag from UVA.....that's who.

After the win, we proceeded to walk down Frat row singing Hokie, Hokie, Hokie Hi at the top of our lungs. Empty glass bottles were thrown at us from the safety of their houses (pussies), but instead of hitting us, one proceeded to go straight through the windshield of a BMW (no doubt borrowed from daddy) parked out front of one of the houses. Icing on the cake....to one of the best nights of my life.

Thank you VT and MV7.

Now let's beat these docker wearing, Jefferson humping, pretentious a-holes. GO HOKIES!!!!

T-shirts would be EXCELLENT! I would get one for the wife and all 5 kids as well. Sign me up on the pre-order list. Man, I hope we take care of business on Saturday. Gotta think that Taylor and Tweedy are going to play lights out in their last game at Lane. 10 in a row would be beyond cool!

I might have to buy the shirts for my folks and for my annoying Clemson fan brother too, just so he can use it to wash his car. Married a Klemp$on grad and went to the dark side, so sad...
