Lots of great nuggets in there. French is a tough, but fair critic. Was very pleased and excited to hear his commentary regarding our transfers.

Love how he described Grunk's strengths. The guy sounds like a QB surgeon. Love his take on what he believes are our top two defensive returners in Chambers and Robinson in two positions of great need.

And, my favorite little nugget that got me all toasty inside.....and I quote Mr. French Sticks w/ Syrup:

"Bill Davis is a 5'9" version of Branden Ore.

At 235 lbs, if he resembles one of the greatest RB's that never was at VT, then we are in for a treat next season. To this day, I still wonder what Brandon Ore would have done....

Things went from rosy to less than in a heartbeat this season. Between the men and the women, I really don't think we have much to show at this point. I'll still watch, still root hard, but it's just getting harder and harder after the bright early season wins.
The Hokies have to shoot, Carleigh has to score, but I still have little hope for this game tonight.

Please move these gif/show discussions to their own OT thread.
I'm sure many like me have no interest, especially when monitoring TKP during portal season.

True 4-3 strong side outside linebacker (think Jack Ham and Wilbur Marshall role.) At Penn State, he would line up over the tight end or to the passing strength, but he got replaced when Penn State went to nickel. He was the backup to Tony Rojas, who went down with injury.

I watched him against Northwestern and he put up six tackles. I heard he played well against Clemson in the bowl game, but I only watched offensive reps so I will take another look.

100% agreed. The only shots taken with more than 5s on the shot clocks should be wide open dunks or layups. Other than that you eat the clock and go back and setup on D. Not jack up junk and then get beat on the other end multiple times as well. And if someone is to tired to attack the basket and get back on D then get them the heck off the court.

In JMFF We Trust. If he does what many think he is going to do, over time, we should be able to invest more NIL to capture greater talent and then look to upgrade our coaching staff. CMY, appears in many ways to be a great guy, a decent coach, but is not going to bring VT BB to the level we would like to see - a consistent upper echelon ACC team who consistently makes MM.

I wasn't impressed and haven't been impressed with any VT LB in years. Won't miss him and think he will be a dud at AL.

For his sake, I hope I'm wrong.

Franklin is a professed hip hop fan. If he is not coaching up Chambers to change is number to 36, then what are we even doing here? James Franklin is for the children!
