Jarrett Boykin has Risen to the Next Level
Good little article on Boykin's success!
Because we're all Sunday morning quarterbacks.

The production quality of this thing is amazing - I think it might be one of the best things the VT athletic department has produced. Definitely check it out.
Thought you all would be interested in this. David Wilson stopped by practice to talk to the team.
I'll always be rooting for him to succeed.
I was somehow watching the game last night where a Georgia State player got ejected for a targeting call. It had to be the worst call ever. yes the QB was sliding and it should have been a late hit but by no means was a targeting penalty. If that's targeting then Zumwalt should have been ejected as well. Its unreal how this new penalty is going to be called. The softest calls could be targeting and it really sucks. What happened to good hard hitting and pad sounds.
College football kicks off tonight, and plenty of games are on. A few NFL preseason games are also on (in the Northern VA area). From my quick search, Verizon FiOS customers are out of luck as FiOS launched SEC Network only in Florida and Texas. A few other games are also available through ESPN3 online.
EDIT: FiOS customers with Extreme or Ultimate packages and DirecTV customers should have the SEC Network. Feel free to add the channel number in the comments.
6 pm kickoff
SEC Network - USCe vs. A&M
7 pm kickoff
NFL Network - Eagles vs. Jets (two teams whose cheers consist of spelling their names)
Big 10 Network - Eastern Illinois vs. Minnesota
ESPNU - Wake Forest vs. ULM
I wrote about Michael Brewer and his family tradition at QB for today's paper:

FYI, we published 5 new posts to the frontpage because we're crazy like that.
What's everyone got planned for this evening?
This year, for the first time in 5 seasons, I've been placed in the North end zone with some friends for the season, and I'm still not quite sure how I feel about it. I've always loved the East stands, mostly because I can actually see the game. However, the North EZ has an appeal all its own, as it is traditionally the craziest, most shiznit-losing section in the stadium (at least it should be). So here's my question for the TKP community: what do you prefer? The viewing superiority of the East stands or the atmosphere of the NEZ?
There's FBS football in less than 24 hours, and Hokie kickoff is in less than 3 days.
What are your way too precise predictions for Saturday's game. Include individual and team stats, scores after every quarter, and whatever else you my desire. BTW, I have way too much time on my hands.
Heres mine:
Virginia Tech announces contract extension for head coach Frank Beamer
The new agreement extends Beamers contract through January 1, 2019
BLACKSBURG, Va. Virginia Tech Director of Athletics Whit Babcock announced a two-year contract extension through January 1, 2019 for head football coach Frank Beamer on Wednesday.
William & Mary LB Luke Rhodes recently said that,
We (Tribes) prepare our game plan and go into that game expecting to win, like every other game. This is what we're looking forward to. Winning one of these games would be the highlight of our career, so far to this point, we've been so close. One play here, one play there would have made the difference. We realize that. That's what we're looking forward to this Saturday."
Will W&M finally get its first signature win against an FCS program since beating UVA in 2009?
Well it's that time of the year again, every Hokie's favorite time of the year. Football season is a mere four days away and people all over are preparing their tailgates and traveling arrangements to the wonderful southwest corner of Virginia, a place we call home. As is the case every week during football season (and occasionally during the offseason during MASSIVE snowstorms) I like to call in the all-important wild card, mother nature.
Even opening with the #7 team at home, LOLUVA still can't sell tickets
