Hopefully the picture is a good omen that Georgia will be there.

The Men's Team
The Hokies roared into the ACC tournament, riding a three game win streak to get to .500 on the season. We were worried that dead last was an option, and now we've earned the first round bye (which is probably about what should be expected)
CMY led the Hokies to his 91st win, now sitting alone in 7th among VT coaches, and depending on how the post-season goes this year, he could be sitting at 3rd by the end of next season (needs 110), a particularly great season (26 wins) and he would have the most wins among VT coaches over 6 years.

Hokies were ranked 13th in the final poll prior to Tournament Selections. If the rankings mirror selections, Hokies would be a 4 seed in Stanfords bracket. Currently there would be no #1 or #2 seeds from the ACC as Notre Dame is #9 and NC St is #11 so they would be 3 seeds.
Notre Dame would likely be in Iowas bracket and NC ST in USCs bracket.
Syracuse and Louisville are both looking as likely 6 seeds at 22 and 24 in the rankings.
Obviously committee will likely vary somewhat but this gives everyone a starting point on what to expect.

The Ladies face Notre Dame today at noon on the ACC Network. Both teams are coming off of hard fought victories yesterday. Notre Dame pulled away at the end after leading most of the game to beat Louisville 77-68.
The Irish were led by the trio of Hidalgo, Westbeld and Citron.

They only played 7 players. And in a fairly called game probably would have had four players foul out. Below is their roster. Only the top 7 players got minutes yesterday.

There will likely still be three separate game posts but wanted everyone tracking. The Ladies play in Greensboro at noon on ACC Network and the men play at 230pm at Cassell on ESPNU.
Forgot the Hammerin Hokies have Game 2 at 6pm against the Irish as well after winning game one 11-3.

The Ladies play Miami in Greensboro at 1:30 Friday. The game is on the ACC Network.
Don't have time to do much with this as I am on the road back to PA from Florida. I hope to get home tomorrow in time to watch the game. I think this game will not be too tough if Kitley is healthy and plays. If we have to play without Kitley, the game is still winnable. But Strack and someone else, Ekh?, are going to have to step up to complement Amoore. King shooting like she can but has not recently would also be helpful. Summiel will need to strong on the boards.
Maybe some of you can add some color to this.
LET'S GO HOKIES!

Robinson had 26 points in their last game including going 14 for 14 from the line to push the Hawks into the NBL Semifinals in Australia. His performance at the line tied an NBL Post Season Record for number while hitting 100%. 14 of his 26 points came in the 4th quarter.

The Ladies travel to Cassell North today to play LOLUVA. The #5 Ladies are 23-5, 14-3 and have locked up the No. 1 seed in the ACC tournament. The Cavaliers are 14-14, 6-11 and tied with Ga Tech, who plays at Miami today, for 10th place. GA Tech has the head to head tiebreaker against UVA. Neither team can finish higher than 10th place. Since JPJ arena has more seats than Cassell, this game could be the largest attendance ever for a women's BBall game in Virginia.
The Cavaliers do not have a good record, but they did beat Louisville, FSU and UNC this year. So they have the potential to give us a good game.

Basically the headline. Tickets through UVA are still available at $10, so if folks in Virginia need an activity tonight grab some tickets and cheer on our team.
