Coach Pry's defense needs a big time boundary (WILL) linebacker (a backer in the old Bud Foster terminology). Biggest news of the day: LB prospect Tyler Banks will be committing on December 15th. Between us and Ole Miss. Yesterday's Brent Pry news was very positive. Rashaud has been in his ear, much like with Razor Ramon.

Rashaud Pernell is 1000% committed and signing on ESD.

Benji Gosnell will likely be deciding this month. Keep an eye out for an announcement. No offensive coaches have been announced, so he may be waiting on the hires.

Givens, Law, Madison have all affirmed their commitments.

Chance of Razor Ramon signing this month: more than 50% if the offensive coaches are announced.

I came across this Richmond Times Dispatch article that sheds some light on why VT never seemed to have success in the 804 recruiting wise.

Seems like Fuente never made a real concerted effort to recruit the 804 until it was too late.

There was a time in early September defensive lineman Malachi Madison was heading to UCF, and he all but told the coaching staff that.

However, the more he thought about his fit at Virginia Tech, and the more he spoke with his coach at Chester (Va.) Thomas Dale, the more the Hokies felt like the right option.

So in late September the 6-foot-3, 310-pound defensive lineman committed to Virginia Tech, and he announced his decision today.

With the news brewing around OU that Spencer Rattler may enter the Transfer Portal, is there any scenario where he comes to VT?

I'm not certain of his HS recruitment process or relationships with coaches but thought it would be interesting to discuss the possibility.

Third-highest rated bball recruit ever for the Hokies after Dorian Finney-Smith and Nickeill Alexander-Walker

This past weekend, Mike Young picked up his second commit for the 2022 class when Combine Academy center Patrick Wessler pledged to the Hokies. Patrick graciously took the time to speak with me earlier today.

According to a report from 247 Sports, Rodney Rice will not be taking any more official visits. After his latest trips to Louisville this past weekend and to Virginia Tech the week before, the ESPN and Rivals Top 50 guard has a lot to think about.

The days of VT's roster topping out in the 6-5, 6-7 range are over. Mike Young is looking for bigger, longer players who can play with the best in the ACC. On Sunday, Mike Young landed the (literal) big one. Patrick Wessler, the #4 prospect in talent-rich North Carolina for 2022, has committed to the Virginia Tech Hokies.
