I still can't believe they called that targeting, but overruled that targeting call that the URI dude laid out on Hooker's head

My thoughts, totally not guzzling the kool aid...

r So Hooker finishes out the season, we go 10-2 or 9-3 for 2019
r Jr Hooker leads 2020 Hokies to 11-1, maybe 12-0, playoff berth, 1st round draft pick
r Jr QP3 takes the reigns 2021, 12-0, playoff berth, Heisman Runner up...not satisfied
r Sr QP3 returns, takes us to the gloryland, Natty, Heisman, 1st overall draft pick.

s/ maybe.

Also, dumb question, why do we refer to him as QP3 when is listed on the roster as Q Patterson II?

Parents: "Now look here coach, you need to play my kid, who isn't as good as the guy playing in front of him, or else we're packing our shit"

Coach: "Bye."

Shit, even in high school, I would have never dreamt of getting my parents to talk to my coach about play time. When I played HS basketball, I started the season riding the bench, getting a couple minutes at the end of blowouts. Know what I did? Worked my ass off, improved throughout the season and started logging legit minutes.

Sparty @ Nutty (-20)
Bears @ Ducks (-18)
Dwags (-25.5) @ Vols
Horns (-11.5) @ Neers
Nightmare Machines @ Big Cats (-27.5)
Hokies @ Cokeheads (-13.5)

Andy Bitter tweeted this image this morning:

So, through 4 games, we've allowed more points off turnovers than the entire '17 and '18 seasons.

Also, shit, we turned it over a lot in 2016!

I started looking at after the fumble, because, as I said, that's where the wheels came off the tracks. Whether that is a confidence thing, frustration or what, I don't know, that's another discussion.

From that point on in the first half Duke had it 7:23 compared to our 1:23 (that doesn't include the final :39 second possession of the half, which, like I mentioned above didn't help our D get a break, cause it led to half)

I agree to a degree, but if our D doesn't get a chance to catch their breath before having to roll back out there, they are gonna wear out first

Take a look at the Duke game, where the wheels fell off the tracks:

VT possession, 5 plays, -7 yards, 2:21
Duke TD - 1 play, :05
- 3 & out, 1:05
Duke TD, 9 plays 67 yards; 3:32
- 5 plays, 35 yds, punt- 2:18
Duke TD, 9 plays, 91 yards, 3:46
-5 plays, 22 yards, haltime. (TOP doesn't matter on this one, D gets to rest at half)
2nd half

Duke Punt, 8 plays 27 yards, 4:03
-3 & out, 8 yds, 1:53
Duke FG 10 plays, 49 yards, 3:08
-Turnover on downs, 6 plays, 20 yards, 2:18
Duke TD 1 play, 42 yards, :08
-TD 3 plays, 78 yards, :59
Duke TD 10 plays, 75 yards 5:06
-INT, 5 plays, 15 yards, 1:24
Duke TD 11 plays, 57 yards, 7:24

That's a whole lot of time on the field, with not a lot of time in between for the D. Offense has gotta stay on the field.

To be clear, I am not saying the the D is in the clear, they definitely have some of the blame, but it's the same old VT football, defense has to play a perfect game in order to win. Fuente came with the promise of offense. He has failed to deliver.
