Agree, that is something I haven't really thought of. Motely did only have maybe a day or two going full speed with the 1's to get ready. He's now had a full week with the 1's and hopefully is improved because of it. Plus I would really like to see the McMillian get a lot or reps and Shai get more as well.

Grew up in Stuarts Draft, Went to VT 87-92, moved to Roanoke, then here (Talley's Crossing area). Talked to my son a little more about Cone last night. Supposedly his dad is a HUGE basketball fan, and really wants him to play like his older brother, who plays division II B-Ball. No real offers for B-Ball yet, but that is what his dad wants him to do over football. Younger brother (8th grade) is supposed to be the real baller.
So French, what is your prediction for the game? Who wins/final score?
This will be my first game of the year in person. Weather is going to be a factor (heavy winds) after storms move through in the morning.

But why should we have to rely on flipping guys? seems like all our recent big recruits outside tim settle have been flips. Maryland lost to to BOWLING GREEN by 21. we should own them in recruiting.
I don't know on this one. If McMillian can get going good it should be a decent day, minus passing ruined by QB indecision/poor technique. If we see the motely of the 2d half of last week and a good running game we should be fine. I can see this either being a 6-10 pt win or 21+ pt win. Hopefully it's the latter and the offense surprises us with its ability to consistently move the ball.

I would like to see Motley have a big game on the ground this week, maybe 80ish rushing with 200ish passing. The more he proves to be a duel threat the harder it becomes to game plan and the better our offense should be.

I sure hope so. I'm still in wait-and-see mode the our Motley crew, but getting significant game action and getting a chance to work out some kinks will hopefully result in improvement.
