That game also was the first time a college offense really, really used a tight end deep. Fleener went ham on us deep, a wide open tight end, with Andrew Luck at the helm with a young defense was disaster. I'm still pissed about that o line audible
This is one of those extremely sensitive situations where you need to trust the university & coach that you love, hope the justice system got it right, make awkward eye contact with everyone that's posted thus far, & shut the hell up.
This is not Tallahassee. I do not want our schools ethics to be defined by this. I would rather give away a national title.
I hope the kid has something that would make it less worse than it is, but I haven't seen anything. This is just upsetting to someone who is so proud to go to this school.
I still maintain that Pace was only good when the score didn't depend on his kick. If we were ahead, or down by more than 4 points, the FG would go through. But if we were within three, and needed the score to get a tie or lead, it missed.
Yeah, if Jesse Allen hasn't dropped that pass, we might have won that game. And if Josh Hyman hadn't been called for pass interference, we might have beaten USC. And if Brandon Pace had hit that field goal against NC State, we would have won that game. It seems as if every loss that season rode on 1 play that really could have went the other way.

I believe the only state in union you have to register as murderer is Virginia
Um, no. That's not true.
The only state I can find any evidence of a "murderer registry" is Illinois.
Lots of judgin in this thread and few facts to speak of.
Mobile. iPad v 2. And it's not ALL the time, but most of the time.
I got mixed up. The McLaughlin speed rush sack was against Pitt. OLB came off the edge. Brewer had a deep drop and the Pitt OLB went right around McLaughlin like he was a road cone.

# | SB*Nation Article: "Ranking the 5 best secondaries in college football for 2015" Yea it looks to be that way around here. But I just see people get caught up with thinking writers and rankings are out to get VT all the time with whatever analysis they use. Like it didn't occur to anyone that maybe Florida just has a better secondary than us. I know TKP doesn't like dissenting opinions, but either way his point didn't make any sense for why we should be rated higher
this is true still. I was 17 when I started VT and well, I got misdemeanered more than my fair share my first year in Blacksburg.
In all Shai got lucky with his sentence. Hope he learns from his mistakes and comes back from his ACL tear. If he can concentrate on his knee and not his leg then he could have a bright future here and maybe on sundays.
It's ingrained.
I tried to find another team to support. Not necessary bail on, but just another team that could give me a reason to still be interested in December. But then 2012 happened, and then training camp moved to Richmond.
I have the Ravens as a secondary team (as my wife likes them), but I've been with the Redskins for too long to just give up.
And technically, it's three playoff appearances in a decade.
Actually, those reasons also eliminate the Raiders, and mostly the Browns.

# | Report: Suspended Virginia Tech RB Shai McKenzie Expected Back with Hokies in August and the early to mid-70's.
today, a child starts first grade based on their age at the time schools starts.
back then, you started school based on the calendar year, so in the fall there were a lot of 17 year old freshman girls at both VT and Radford...and they were at all the frat parties...and there were LOTS of misdemeanors
Well the two go hand in hand. I've never been to a sporting event that has a) alcohol sales in the stadium and b) lets fans leave at halftime and then come back in.
No but his point was that the only reason Florida is rated where they are is the attention paid to star ratings.
You really are a contrarian Kff I have noticed.
Okay, I've seen at least two references to playing Auburn tough, and granted, it's been over 10 years, but I remember that game sucking for 3 and a half quarters, with Tech finally getting some life in the fourth, but falling about 30 seconds too short.
I suppose holding Auburn to 16 was decent, but we should have been able to beat that.
The rest of that season was awesome...especially dancing at the U when we won the conference.
haha.. awesome. and now the door has been opened for us to squirrel a post with completely unrelated material. why does this always happen to us?

I'm pretty sure it will end up in August.
This Dad joke has been brought to you by the letter G and Sam Adams.
Haha well played...
"Initiating the conversation is half the battle." LEG

haha, true.... but, wait a minute, wait a minute... there is an outside chance I may be there. Depends on how my July ends up.
Touche Fern, touche. But, I'll be at the OSU game, will you?
