32-20 at halftime. The boys put on a good spurt there to close the half. They are doing what they need to regarding Duke shooting the ball. Held them to 36% from the field, and 23% from behind the arc. On a normal day this would be a 25 point lead at the half. Now we just need to find a way to keep scoring consistently.

That's a great point and, if it does expand, I'd much rather it be an 8-team playoff than anything bigger, for the reasons I stated above. Your system is definitely not a bad system at all. However, I still get the feeling that the larger the playoff, the more cupcake poundings we're gonna see. So long as teams are competing for 4 spots, with strength of schedule weighed so heavily (according to #sources, of course), I think we'll see more big-time OOC matchups as well as great high-level bowl games. That seems like some fun football to watch. The last thing I'd want to see as a fan is having a system where teams just have to get through the regular season as unscathed as possible, because I think that would pretty quickly lead to bad OOC matchups and boring football. So long as whatever system in place rewards tough scheduling practices and maintains the importance of the regular season, I'll be happy.

Cuz why would you change a guy's position his last season of eligibility

Brent Bowden - drafted by Tampa Bay in 6th round of 2010. Signed a four year deal but was released in September 2010. In 2011, he signed on for a week with the Jacksonville Jaguars and was then released. He then went to the UFL to play for the Virginia Destroyers in Virginia Beach for 2012. Unfortunately the team folded by March 2013 for bankruptcy. No mention of him beyond that.

Nic Schmitt
Went undrafted, had a few tryouts. Doesn't appear to have made a team. Helping with a CrossFit Facility in Roanoke these days

Vinnie Burns also does not appear to have made any waves at the pro level. He is the Director of Soccer Performance at one of the top prep academies in Florida, IMG Academies. Hopefully the Tech soccer programs are taking advantage of this. IMG is where the MLS Youth Academies go in the spring to compete against each other for the IMG Cup.

Brandon Pace - I cant seem to find anything on him after Virginia Tech.

Thanks and nice! I'm hoping to make a few this season, probably once ACC play starts.

I was gonna add that in there but forgot, that's awesome. Great win for VMI.

Good write up man! I'm gonna make the games Saturday and Sunday. I can't wait!

For two players that just had major surgery, Kyle and Antone did great at the NFL combine. It makes me wonder what kinda records they would've set if they didnt have any setbacks.

IMO, I would replace Bama with Missouri. Their only loss in the regular season was by 3 to USC-E and they shouldn't be penalized that heavily for losing in a CCG to a team that also beat Bama. If you can't win your division, the only argument you have is if the loser of the CCG has worse than a 1 loss record coming in. Their ranking wasn't that far off and Mizzou finished higher.
