Duke having three first-team ACC defenders is so laughable, I get they just had their dream season and all but defense was hardly their specialty and they certainly shouldn't have the most first team defensive players out of the entire conference.

ya as much as I am excited about Ford and his potential, I realistically don't see him starting next year. He'll probably redshirt. I mean Michael Vick redshirted for crying out loud. the battle I want to see is Leal vs Motley. I'd prefer Motley cause otherwise we're doing this all over again next season when Leal graduates. But like we've mentioned before Beamer is loyal - both to his coaches and to his players. I believe he has the "he did his time on the bench, now he gets to start" philosophy
I am really looking forward to him scoring his first TD. I actually want him to do a non-celebration (a la Ice Cube in Longshots) type move where he just turns around and hands the ball to the ref as he walks out of the endzone nonchalantly. "No big deal. Been here before. Plan to be here again"... that would be awesome
I get what you're saying but I have seen quotes from several RB coaches include Billy Hite that great RB's run and you don't coach them how to run, you coach the play book, blocking, etc. Whereas I have also read that LB's should be coached as a single unit because they are the field generals.
I've often wondered how that works in our coaching responsibilities.
I think Shane should be Special Teams, but if he needs to split on position duties I would think RB would still be better. Also I think he would have more time for Recruiting if he was left at RB than on Defense.
Maybe throw him in at slot receiver. Wes Welker anyone?

I would add that one of the best parts is that he seemingly doesn't care about any of it. That's no knock on #Punterswag or any other player that gets involved in their own hype at all. Just that you can tell Rogers is here to do one thing only. Play. Everything else in his mind is secondary.

Was just about to say this. IIRC he was notorious at Ole Miss for giving scholarship offers to kids who would never in a million years be eligible academically.
I just don't like the idea of Miami getting chosen ahead of us. I don't see how they can claim it's for fan attendance either since they don't even show to home games.
