There are big discrepancies in the AP and coaches poll this week. Oklahoma is 17 in AP and 12 in Coaches. Auburn is 11 in AP and 17 in coaches. Okie State is 19 in AP and 13 in Coaches. Seems like a much bigger gap for schools that usual.

It's funny because usually the coaches' poll would rank us higher than the AP poll in the past.

I know this isnt what this is about but I would think that an Oregon vs. Baylor game would be amazing!!!!

Anyway my top 10 (according to who actually plays good most weeks):
1.Florida State yes I'm done with the Bama bias is they played today Bama would lose
2.Bama because they have to be somewhere
3.Oregon still put up points but have been having some close games lately.
4.Baylor now I know that OSU has been good but so has Baylor and neither has played anyone
5.OSU goes here because they still are undefeated still not impressed by them however
6.Mizzou surprising that they are playing pretty well they are the most likely team to fall in my opinion
7.Stanford the only other game on there schedule that could be a loss is Oregon #studteam
8.Auburn playing well the game against Bama will be good!
9.Texas Tech probably going to lose at some point
10. Clemson even after the game getting destroyed by FSU they still don't fall too much

My favorite from this weekend:

"FSU Diplomas are in Comic Sans"

Not sure if it made it on TV, it was in the back of the crowd.

You know, as soon as they hired O'Brien, I had the same thought. That's their transition right there. Previous HC experience? Yep. Better overall record than previous coach? Yep. Done.

But Oregon played, and won, at Scott Stadium!!! Most difficult road game there is!

I know what was said this week but I don't see how London survives this season. They might get a few good recruits this year but continuing to lose year in year out is going to stop that. We need LOLUVA to be better. I could see them naming O'Brien HC!

Can't say I agree with Oregon in front of FSU. Both are undefeated, but one has gone on the road and taken a #3 team (at the time) to the woodshed and one has not.

TA&M is #3 in total offense and put up big points against Bama, #5 in total defense. VT is #2 in total defense, but we've only played the #35 offense in Alabama and #41 Marshall.

I'm a big believer that you judge a team on what they have done, not what they could do. So while I agree with your argument, A&M's offense (at this point in the season) appears to be more effective (or at least more proven) than our defense.

Yup, I'm surprised by that too. The writers normally don't give us much credit..it's the coaches this time that are jealous of our defense :)

I'm not Michael Rocco, so don't slur me by calling him that. I also didn't go to VT, so I'm not bound by the laws of Hokie Respect. So there.

Look at TV exposure in the early 90s compared to now. Look at the number of recruits in VA and ability to get recruits to games/see recruits then and now. Look at the money then and the money now. It's easier to build a program now. It shouldn't take 6 years for a coach to turn around a program these days. A coach shouldn't be going backwards in year 4 without severe mitigating factors that don't exist. It would be like comparing a QB's numbers today with the numbers of a QB from 1972.

True. I'd give NIU a bit more credit than Fresno.

So is Fresno States, but they are 15. I'd rather see some MACtion.

I'm pleasantly surprised with how well my prediction turned out. Not off by more than 2 spots for any of them.
