Dang, he big. If he bulks up he could be an immensely powerful DE, if not, then a ridiculously big OLB.
For reference, at DE, our biggest DE is Gayle at 6'4" 255, and at the LB, Tyler is 6'1" 230, RVD is 6'3" 220.
you can add your private email in the "About Me" section of your profile. I've seen others with theirs and seems to work
That awkward moment when Mama Giraffe realizes she's been caught being unbiased. I like the follow up post below where she returns to her normal craptastic self.
Great work VTminer. +1
Yep, that was his Redshirt year right outta Brookville. Tyrod was our fearless leader and Juju was his back up. I'll never forget Juju coming in vs. Boston College in 2009 and throwing that 80 yard bomb to Marcus Davis. After that... he was never seen again. (not really, he played more in 09 but was your usual backup).
I think in one of Logan's interviews he said that he was around as a (true) Freshman for the last loss and not wanting to ever lose to them again.
Okay - here's a new 2014 offeree - DE/OLB Rayjon Simes, 6'7", 239 pounds from Stone Mountain, GA -

Late bloomer. Also has offers from Louisville, Kentucky, Marshall, and South Alabama.
Would you say that we have a good chance of defending the UNC spread after the ECU & Marshall games? It's not gonna be easy to defend a team that gashed us last year. But I would like to believe that Marshall has a better passing attack than UNC...
Guys (and ladies), I just realized something.
This is the first Hokie senior class that will graduate without ever having lost to Georgia Tech.
(Well, I thought so anyway... but DJ Coles played in the '09 game)
this is wonderful
Can't take anyone lightly but the Hokies should not need to be reminded about what unc did to us last season. That is an impressive win by ecu but unc might have mailed the season in after this game. Hopefully the off can take another step forward.
Nike VT polos for 18 bucks? Yes please.
Can't remember the exact year, I usually say 2004, but the one true reason why I became a Hokie fan is because of...

Been following the Hokies ever since then. Bud Foster reminds me so much of my soccer coach when I lived in Rhode Island. He was an ornery asshole who always found fault in whatever I did. I mean, nothing I did ever pleased him, even when I scored my only goal during a tournament, that was the nicest he was ever to me, but 99% of the time, he was on my ass about everything. I almost quit the team on our last practice, but stuck around to help beat a hated rival and was part of the national championship awarded by the Silent News (now a defunct publication). I see the same thing in Foster...he hates being beaten and hates it even more when the other team dominate his defense. It eats him up on the inside (hence why I made mention about his trip to Iowa...) but it wasn't Beamer or Vick that made me a fan of the Hokies...it was the Notorious B.U.D.
Oh, I am also hoping to become a student (being a non-traditional student at that too) someday when I finish up at New River.
I'd like it if Jarrett would learn to fair catch and stop getting killed.
I understand. They are a dumpster fire now.
Ideally, I would like to see us only have one loss and Miami be undefeated when we play them in November. Partly because I'll be down there for the game, and partly cause I want us to knock them from the ranks of the unbeaten.
I am SO glad I'm not the only girl on here. TKP Hokie girls rule!!!:)
Probably, but I sure ain't giving Iowa credit for the past couple years.
A couple of things I didn't touch on.
1) Deon Clarke got work when Edwards went out with an injury in the second quarter. He wasn't in on many plays but looked solid from an assignment perspective and moved confidently. He will be a critically important player next season.
2) Special teams just are not good enough. Journell aside, the punt return and kickoff return teams are really not doing a good job. After some of Jarrett's adventures this season, I miss those 7-10 yards right up the gut Michael Holmes returns.
Maybe. I think he learned something from that trip and has evolved since then.
Here's another quote that actually summarizes the mentality nicely:
"That locker room feels real good about ourselves," Hokies' linebacker Jack Tyler said after their big win. "But like [defensive coordinator Bud] Foster says, when you start feeling good about yourself, that's when you get knocked off."
I hope everyone on the team is thinking the same thing.
That was quite awhile ago. It probably helped a little bit at first, but Bud definitely isn't getting any help from Iowa now.
Yea, I thought I was the only one that can hardly find links in posts. I feel like they should be underlined or something.
I think I might know of a certain website...I peruse it occasionally
At a certain web site, that was part of my column.

I do like the idea of a TKP ticket exchange for members though
