Ok TKP time to stuff some internet ballots.

Because we're all Sunday morning quarterbacks.

It may sound crazy, but consider a few things:
What might the coaching staff look like in the short term:
Justin Hamilton - HC
Tracy Claeys - DC
Bill Teerlinck - DL Coach
Darryl Tapp - CO DL Coach
Jack Tyler - Line Backers
Person Prioleau - Safeties
We saw him dressed and on the sideline, he was pumping up the other players and I'm assuming doling out advice. Does anyone know if he didn't play due to the issues stemming from last week's game or something new?
Think about this. He is 4-1 against UVA, who I'm sure will be retaining Bronco. VT is going to pony up $10M to buy him out? This may have been the tipping point. When couched in the terms of a new DC, no spring practice, top 2 DBs opt out/injured most of the year, and still walloping the in-state rival, you have to wonder what the thought process is for Whit. I know we've hashed this out and we're ready to stroke the check, but it's going to be a more difficult decision after tonight.
EXIT LIGHT! ENTER NIGHT!!!! TAKE MY HAND WE'RE OFF TO NEVER NEVERLAND!!!
FAMMMMMM!!!!! THE CUP IS COMING HOME!!!!!
We got the cup back FAM!!
What questions should she ask him? I told her not to ask him anything about Fuente being fired or let go, about Tony Elliott, or any other stupid question that even if Laaser knew the answer to (which I doubt he does) he wouldn't answer it anyways. What are some legitimate questions she can ask? I don't have any myself other than the ones I told her not to ask haha
What an ass! In 2019, I saw their coaching staff arguing with our on filed players during the game which only added to my complete lack of respect for this guy and Pitt. He's a discredit to coaching, imo, and they keep out recruiting us here in the 757 and whipping our butts more often than not. I'm ready for a drink.

If this link to Fox News doesn't work, forgive me, I'm an old dog.
Very strange to not see him on the field this year after a promising 2019 campaign. Would he not be a better PR candidate over Mitchell?
Pitt and GT can't seem to get the lights going, but Pickett's arm has been electric.
Update: turns out a nearby accident at the stadium knocked out a transformer.

Though terms were not disclosed, ESPN's annual fee is expected to be in the low $300 million range, according to Sports Business Journal, a considerable and expected increase from the $55 million per year that the conference receives from CBSโa bargain deal that was struck in 1996. CBS pulled out of negotiations this spring after the price tag got too high, SBJ reported.
Compare this to the ACC where the total conference revenue in 2018 was about 460 million. This might be a problem.
I heard on Packer and Durham that the ACC asked some schools if there is any interest to play a game on December 19th. VT was not one of the schools that they mentioned.
Asking TKP community, what are your thoughts? Should we schedule another one?
In my honest opinion, I'm not even sure if we have the numbers to play another game unless we can possibly unload some of the Freshmen and let them have their way.
Here's an interesting midweek read from the folks at Banner Society that may spark some interest as VT (potentially) embarks on (or completes, depending on which tea leaves you choose to read) our second coaching search of the post-Beamer era.
This industry is not, nor has it ever been, a meritocracy.
this is not surprising. hope he gets a look at the next level!
DE Justus Reed said he won't be returning next year. He's already a seventh-year senior and isn't going to make it eight."This is it for me." Thinks playing at the Power 5 level again as a senior helped improve his NFL stock a little bit, even with an uneven season. #Hokiesโ Andy Bitter (@AndyBitterVT) December 8, 2020
Is VT become bad enough to get our own Collapse episode of falling so far?
Starting a new thread for this topic since we're closing in on 900 comments. Feel free to continue the conversation on here. Shane Beamer has been hired by South Carolina for all who are unaware, so no need to bring up his name on here as a replacement.
Into the single digits on the countdown to the big day.
As we enter what could possibly be our next adventure into the coach carousel, I just wanted to post a quick PSA about an interesting Twitter account that seems to be making some noise among Hokie faithful.
https://twitter.com/WalterKFriedman
He'd previously suggested that Shane Beamer was a top candidate to replace Fuente:
I clearly was not paying enough attention to the hirees when Fuente came on. Obviously we know he hired Cornelson, who I THOUGHT was the OC as Memphis. But my friend brought to my attention that Cornelson was only Co-Coordinator. the Main OC was actually Darrell Dickey, whom had been OC since 2012 at Memphis and personally recruited Paxton Lynch and oversaw Memphis' offensive explosion 2 years later (source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darrell_Dickey#Coaching_career)
According to "insiders" we do not have the money to make the change so everyone's favorite coach will be back next season to drive us further into the ground. Sorry for the ESPN+ link, I assume most people have it now as part of the hulu/disney/espn package so you can read. Hopefully they are wrong, always sketchy when there are unnamed "insiders" or sources...
