NCSU Vent Thread
Well, it's a good thing we weren't playing for an appearance in the ACCCG. And I hate losing to NCSU. There is so much to say about this game now that we have an entire season to begin. to evaluate.
First of all, looking at this game in a vacuum...
1. If we start slow we are going to lose. Period.
2. I'm OK if we go in a different direction with the defensive staff. Marve needs some dudes, but the guys he has still have no idea what do do.
3. I will never understand the lack of urgency in the 4th quarter when you are down multiple scores. It's mind boggling. We don't get in a hurry until the last few minutes of the game.
Now, looking at this game in the context of the season...

QUARTERBACK – Kyron Drones, Virginia Tech, QB, Pearland, Texas
Drones completed 12-of-17 passes for 219 yards and two touchdowns to lead Virginia Tech to a road win over Boston College, snapping the Eagles' five-game winning streak. He also rushed 20 times for a season-high 135 yards to finish the game with 354 yards of total offense in the 44-28 win. The honor is the second weekly conference award for Drones this season.

Pry-ssr Sleepy Chestnut Hill 2023
- "Obviously excited about the trip to Boston college" 🤷 at least someone is I guess.
- Castellanos is a tough, gritty QB.
- Good size up front. BC adds 1-2 lineman in some packages including #44 (6-4 318lbs) lined up at TE.
- BC's successful games have come from ball control on offense and complimentary defense. We need to play sound defense to keep them off the field.

Looserville Post Game Conversation Thread
We probably don't need a "Vent Thread", however some conversation is always good after a game. A couple of thoughts...
1. I'll need to go back and watch, but despite the horrid OL play, the scheme seemed to adjust quite a bit from the last couple of weeks. IZ and OZ were unavailable, but we used almost no motion to move the LBs and Safeties. We also utilized Drones as a drop back passer today. Pretty vanilla looking gameplan. I know it's challenging to call a game when the OL can't block its way out of a wet paper bag, but at first glance it didn't appear that Bowen was doing a whole lot to help his crew out.

Wake Forest at Duke is currently the most interesting watch tonight (unless you're big into the NFL)

Spooky Pry-ssr Loserville Week 2023
- Brohm's offense will challenge us with a variety of passing concepts. Pry compliments Louisville with creative play-calling and good ability adjusting to opposing defenses.
- Jordan has averaged 7-8 yards per carry against Duke and ND. Pry points to his absence and Pitt's ability to get in the backfield and cause turnovers as their recipe for success against Louisville.
