2015 Pro Bowl selection. Not bad for a 2/3 star QB recruit. Congrats Kam! #DBU
Because we're all Sunday morning quarterbacks.

Interesting read from David Teel.

I've written about a couple of ideas Teel touched on, like Tech not luring a top-flight offensive coordinator with Beamer nearing retirement and positional coaches / staff slots a potential barrier.
However he dropped this.
But given the promise this group has flashed and the rash of injuries, I believe head coach Frank Beamer will, and should, retain Loeffler
Per the press conference this afternoon. Stanford is no longer with the team and will not be admitted back and Deon Newsome was left in Blacksburg for a violation of team rules and will not be playing in the bowl.
Cardinals HC Bruce Arians said he is likely to start rookie QB Logan Thomas in regular-season finale vs. SF.— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) December 22, 2014
To whoever edited this comment to embed the tweet, thanks! Don't have that ability from work.
Mike Barber spoke with Whit Babcock.

Virginia Tech athletic director Whit Babcock said he's "confident" defensive coordinator Bud Foster will be with the Hokies next season and indicated the school could have an announcement on that topic in the coming days.

Kelly, 20, of Niagara Falls, refused to leave Encore at 492 Pearl St. about 3:15 a.m. and punched a bouncer in the face, Buffalo police said. Kelly's companion, Brandon Hickey, 21, of Clarence, had been thrown out of the bar earlier and tried to re-enter, police said.
Kelly continued to fight with two bouncers and stated "I'm going to go to my car and get my AK-47 and spray this place," according to a report.
Thankfully he's Ole Miss' problem.
"I didn't really have any relationship with the A.D.," Pelini said. "The guy, you guys saw him (Sunday), the guy is a total p----. I mean, he is, and he's a total c---."

Good to see he's getting some looks at the next level.
Not that I expected him to say otherwise, but take this for what it's worth.

I researched this data out of curiosity to see how each year's champion ranked on offense and defense. These are my takeaways:
Today, in "news we all knew should happen," our 17-foot-tall superhuman tight end received a well-deserved honor:

Congratulations to Bucky on his achievement! I have no doubt that he will be an All-American in years to come if he continues his hard work.
Thoughts on the rest of the team, anyone?
I've come across several people recently who believe that, since we line up in the shotgun so much, we are running a spread offense.
This is nonsensical to me, but I have a hard time explaining the difference between an offense that runs zone blocking plays and an offense committed to the spread like Oregon. Can you elaborate?
Good news! Our very own Brian Marcolini and TKP got some link love from Grantland's Matt Hinton:

Bad news: it was in a section discussing, what else, the Wake Forest loss.
You take the small victories where you can get them.
The crystal balls are starting to flip to VT, it appears:
