Just throwing out my opinion. Several threads talk of the need for a new HC or a new OC. I think I'd prefer to see this staff remain as is for at least a year. With the decimation due to injury, and the fact that we've been close in all but one game, and with the quantity of experienced talent returning as opposed to this year's youth movement, plus the fact our OL coach just finished year one, I'm actually optimistic that next year will show a huge step forward.
This wasn't very long ago. Darren Evans was a backup that any team would have loved to have. We went from years of amazing rushers to what we have now. Forget mediocre O-line play, where did the playmakers at RB go? We've never had an amazing O-line but had backs that would find holes.

While I was watching the short clip I couldn't help but think we should wear those currently in the day and age. That maroon and orange combo is sick... I'd love to see the old school hokies in some old school colors... Just a thought

The two coolest brothers in the NFL are facing each other tomorrow on Turkey Day, so of course Mr. and Mrs. Fuller are ready for game time. Should be an interesting battle between these two BEASTS!
I apologize ahead of time for the brief write-up this week, I haven't had tons of time with family stuff going on and already did a pretty long write up for some peeps on the thanksgiving storm. Regardless, I hope you all travel very safe to the game and avoid the hell out of back roads, even if it means beating traffic there will probably be some ice and pretty significant snow still on some of them. #5 - Brewer's regression
#4 - Key defensive injuries - Maddy/Williams/Facyson
#3 - OL - lack of depth due to recruiting woes and injuries, as well as coaching turnover
#2 - Offensive play-calling
#1 - RB injuries - Shai, Marshawn, and Trey were a legitimately big, deep and talented backfield when healthy, but unfortunately we didn't have all 3 at 100% for a single game this year
Alright. My wife actually had a dream last night that she went into the VT locker room at halftime to get the team going. She said "I have a whole room in my house dedicated to you guys (thanks to me)....get it together!"
Knowing my wife...I think the team got the message. We'll see it tomorrow night.

I wanna revisit the losses this season.
ECU - After the offense came out flat and the defense gave up 21 points in the first quarter, both units stiffened. the offense clawed its way back to post 21 unanswered points and tie the game with 1:20 remaining. The defense then allowed the Pirates to score the winning touchdown sixty-four seconds later.
Georgia Tech - Probably Michael Brewer's worst game this season. There wasn't much wrong with the offensive game plan, but there was a whole hell of a lot wrong with quarterback play. And we still led with 8:03 left in the game. Brewer's third interception was the backbreaker.
