Or, hear me out, here, he got good enough feedback that he feels he can transition to playing a game professionally and get paid lots of money for it, instead of playing another year for free in a game in which every time you suit up, it could potentially be your last time

Whether it did or didn't have anything to do with his decision (I'll take him at his word and believe it didn't), if the narrative was starting to become "he's leaving his team because a position coach that he was close with on the other side of the ball got let go", I think he has to make a statement like this one if he's trying to have a future in a league where coaches come and go pretty frequently.

Not exactly new music here, but on Feb 29, I'll be checking out Old Crow Medicine Show.

Hype!

I'm torn when it comes to Vick. I feel like I'm firmly in the "he's paid his dues, let the man move on" crowd...but saying he got busted for dogfighting really doesn't do justice to the vile, despicable, heinous acts that he personally carried out.

If you've read any of the details of the things he did to those dogs, you realize that you would have to be one depraved motherfucker to carry any of it out. I know, I know, it's what he grew up around. That's not an excuse, you hit an age where you know right from wrong.

That being said...he has fulfilled his punishment, a punishment that was more harsh than some people get for doing worse things to people. I will always be grateful for what he did for VT. He should be afforded every opportunity for a second chance, and I wish nothing but the best for him from here on out (it certainly seems like he is making good on his 2nd chance, atoning for his past acts, leading a decent life, etc.).

Knew he wouldn't be unemployed for long. Wish he woulda landed somewhere outta the ACC, but at least he's not in the Coastal

The Coaching position is not stated and not sure if he is joining as a staff member

from the link:

NC State: As we reported earlier this morning, NC State has now formally announced the addition of Charley Wiles as defensive line coach.

He also said that some of these candidates were still coaching in ball games. At first, it sounded like he said bowl games, but he went back and made a point of saying "ball games, not bowl games". So it sounds like we may have an answer soon after the Bills exit the playoffs on Teerlinck.

Cone will be a beast by the time his days are done.

What a turn around for this game.
