Well 247 certainly has strong feelings...
I'll go with 2001 Miami. Even though we beat them in the title game in 2002, I still think they had much more overall talent on that roster. That roster had like 40 future NFL draft picks on it. They lost jeremy shockey after 2001 and then just replaced him with Kellen Winslow Jr. like it was nothing. Lose Clinton Portis after 2001 and replaced him with Willis McGahee! Are you kidding me? Those two years of canes football stand alone in my opinion. And they somehow won almost all their games despite having Larry Coker as their coach. The USC dynasty was great, but the canes dysnasty has performed soooo much better in the NFL. I think that speaks to just how deep they were at every position for two years.
I'm looking forward to the renewal of your rivalry with them. That 2006 game was one of the better games I've ever seen.

Not really. As good as you guys might be playing one good game doesn't mean we'll do it all year. I also think your suspensions and lack of WR experience will hurt you guys more against us than later in the year.
I'm hoping this as well. To have all the #BUTTS in the seats way before kickoff and have Lane rocking when it's go time.

Trust me, the Penn St environment might be loud, but its not intimidating like Lane is. When you go to a venue of 110k, you expect the place to be loud. You don't expect a stadium of nearly half that size to be just as crazy. Its the same reason that a place like Cameron Indoor is so highly regarded with 10k fans when being compared to places like the Smith Center, Rupp Arena, etc, with crowds over twice as large.
I'm really hoping it's going to be just like that 2003 Miami game where Lane was rocking an hour before kick-off and throughout the game. I'm expecting to not have a voice for two days after the game. Monday needs to hurry up. This week can't move fast enough.

How the hell do you get in a fight with Jim Kelly? Thats like getting in a fight with Regis Philbin! Pretty hard to do unless you are a complete ass clown.

# | Ask TKP / OT: If you could only eat one farm animal for the rest of your life, what would it be? Honestly, it's really only two options: cow or chicken. While cow might have more flavor overall, eating red meat all the time will mess with your digestive system a lot. From a health standpoint, chicken is an easy choice.
I guess by that metric I'd definitely go 2015, because the modern iteration of the nickel is superior to the 2007 version, IMO, and that should, also in IMO, be our base defense against most of the offenses we face this day and age.
I think I'm going to be sick.
I expect Lane Stadium will be the most hostile environment we play in all year. Blasting music helps a little, but doesn't really compare to 66,000 screaming fans. However, most of the players starting for Ohio State played @ Penn State last year when they had a crowd of 110,000 screaming idiots. I hate to admit this, but Penn State fans are much louder and crazier than Ohio State or Michigan fans. Their stadium also holds in the noise extremely well. The players constantly complain about the ground shaking the entire game and fans pelt our players with batteries, beer bottles, and rocks before and after the game. In summary, these fans are not only insane but also borderline criminal (see Jerry Sandusky cover up for more info on this).
Anyways, I think Lane Stadium will be the toughest and loudest venue we play at this year. Our players will struggle with the noise at times and it will be a significant advantage for VT. No doubt about it. I just think these players have played in a worse environment though (PSU). Unless I am mistaken and your fans are unruly enough to try and harm our players. But I think you guys have more class than that. Looking forward to the game on Monday!

During NBC's pregame show on Oct. 20, analyst Jim Kelly questioned Harbaugh's propensity for injury, calling him a "baby" who "overdramatized" his injuries.
Harbaugh heard about it, and what do you know—Kelly and NBC were in San Diego for Indianapolis's next game. The Saturday before the game, Kelly was at the Colts' hotel for a production meeting. Harbaugh reportedly poked his head into the room and told Kelly he wanted to talk. The two went into another room and exchanged punches, in a scuffle that lasted about 30 seconds

ECU _ Marshawn had 17 or 70% for 74 yards of carries and Shai had 7 or 30% for 18 yards JC got 0
GT- Shai had 12 or 46% for 51 yards Marshawn had 10 or 38% for 36 yards JC+Trey got 4 carries combined for 9 yards
WMU- Shai had 18 or 51% for 87 yards Marshawn had 14 or 40% for 119 yards Joel Caleb had 4 carries or 11% for 44 yards
Issues isn't with who got carries or %'s I think it comes down to how many of those drives did we see all 3 rb's..
This year I believe we will see more of a Shai and Trey 1-2 punch with JC being the xfactor/breather back..
You play guys that are ready to play. 5 star guys (and high 4 star guys) wash out too. They're not all ready to play right away...or ever.
