I was sitting at the south end zone in 06 I believe it was when Glennon hit Justin Harper with that bomb that he caught one handed for a td. I was about 5 rows away from that one. My favorite that I went to was 99 though. That one was amazing

Dirtybirds! I was a VT-3 Red Knight back in 1987. Not even sure the squadron still exists, but we flew the venerable T-34C Turbo Mentor. Gonna have to Google the T-6B Texan II now to see what she looks like. Good luck with the training, watch out for those "downs" they'll get after ya!

I was there too! And it was my first as well. It was so miserable out that day. A few friends left early but I stayed through the rain and cold until the scoreboard was 00:00. I was so happy.
Used to play basketball at Mccomas all the time on Friday afternoons then I turned 21 and basketball got replaced by Power Hour at Hokie House...talk about a 180
VT 86 grad, flew H-3 Sea Kings for 8 yrs in the Nav including Desert Shield/Storm, then flew 12 years as a Fed LEO in Cessna 182RG, 206, 208, and 210's. Hung up my spurs in 2008 with a little over 2500 accident free hours. Commercial/IFR in Helos and SEL still valid but not current. Nowadays, I just ride in back a lot traveling overseas for work. Self-loading baggage, I am.

since deshazo was the qb when i first started watching vt football with my new friends when my family moved to va, i've always had a soft spot in my heart for him. looking at the numbers above, they both look pretty average.
Same here. On top of it all, their fans are the most pompous people in the world, especially for a Univeristy that is private and only has 4,500 students on it's main campus in Coral Gables. Have never had an experience where I would invite a Miami fan to tailgate - Most other schools, including UVA, have fans that you can hang out with and still have a rivalry - Miami fans are different.
