I didn't catch on to our Softball team until my junior year which by that time my girlfriend (now wife) and I had been dating for 2 years. If she could have her thing for Danny Coale, I saw nothing wrong with me appreciating those women.

This was one of my points in the freshman advice thread, but it's worth repeating:
If you are a male student and you are not attending women's sports then you are missing A LOT that VT has to offer. Show up, make signs, learn their names, paint your chest, be loud, or do whatever rowdy but respectful thing you can think of. If you keep going to games (especially if you make a road game) repeatedly the team will LOVE you.

I'd LOVE for this to become a rivalry. Fans of both schools are so passionate about hating one another here. If it says anything until I started reading information online three or four years ago, I didn't even consider UVA a rivalry. Part of that might be due to the fact I basically live in Tennessee and don't deal with UVA fans down here and part of that might be that we've always beaten them so it doesn't really matter :P

My favorite play is at about 4:48 mark where he gets stood up, but not tackled, by EVERY PLAYER on the defense right at the goal line and then he just sticks his hand out of the pile to cross the goal line. That's a tough and smart football player. Me like

7 in RPI, 6 in the coaches poll which is what they use for rankings. The win against ND was a great win and I think there could have been a couple more goals scored. The ref made mistakes both ways, but really cost Tech with two plays, one that should have been penalty shot and another where the ref gave an advantage (that resulted in a goal) but the linesmen gave offsides when it was really close and the goal was disallowed. Colpitts is about as outstanding of a keeper as you can have and made the keys saves she needed to.
They play #19 wake forest tomorrow which will be huge. Then they get Pitt on the road followed by a matchup with current #3 FSU. They close out with Miami at home and then at UVA who ranked #1. As I've said before, the ACC is stacked in soccer, especially womens.

My apologies, so Bud has shown everyone doing everything. Can you imagine if Dadi could do pass coverage too? The fear you have to feel as a QB with him Gayle, Collins all on the field with #MANBEARPIG and Big Lu coming up the middle is one that I never hope to feel.
He has deceptive speed. It looks like he's running slow, until you see the defenders chasing him and realize he's not as slow as it looked.

Ah, but both Hopkins and Maddy have dropped into coverages on zone blitzes. Billdozer has Maddy deflecting a pass as he drops into short middle on his highlights from the Pitt game.
I don't think UVA fans even consider it a rivalry anymore. They have nothing to say after being dominated for a decade. My son celebrated his 9th birthday this year. He has never been alive when UVA has beaten VT in football.
I'd like to see Foster get a chance to go up against Spurrier. That would be another good home-and-home
