I finally decided to sign up after lurking for all of last season. This is a great site! I am constantly amazed at the level of analysis. Keep up the good work fellas.

It's about as annoying as every telecast or short play the announcers obligitory line "with a quarterback that's 6'6 260..." Literally at least 5 times a game. I've also noticed lately his weight fluctuates anywhere between 240-265 for whoever is announcing haha.

I'm stealing this and teaching my friends.

Somehow happened upon this thread today so I thought I'd add my $.02...

Family is from Southern WV and I grew up in a small town across the border in VA. My parents & brothers were lifelong Mountaineers until my oldest brother decided to go to VT in 1991 after transferring from Emory & Henry. We started attending games that year when you could pretty much just walk into Lane without a ticket. My other brother started at Tech in 1992 so in order for my parents to see my brothers, we were there every Saturday. My earliest clear memory of Hokie football was watching the Independence Bowl in 93 on tv. My earliest Hokie football heartbreak (1st of many) was the following year when we went down to Gainesville for the Gator Bowl and watched Manning throw TDs all over our asses. I have HATED Rocky Top ever since.

When it came time to apply for college, I did not want to go to Virginia Tech. By this time, I was a surly teenage girl who did NOT want to follow in her brothers' footsteps. (I was so stupid) I had already spent years in my hometown living up to them so I was over it and wanted to blaze my own trail. My parents put a squash on that nonsense and I applied to Tech and started in 99.

Thank God for my parents.

My 5 years (99-04) in Blacksburg were some of the best of my life. I seriously cannot even put into words how much I love Blacksburg & Virginia Tech. Blacksburg is my home. It is where I met my husband (shout out to @schaef0418 and Terrace View Apartments!) and where I learned so much about life. I'll never forget the 2003 Boston College game, my last home game as a student, where we lost and I just stood in the stands for 15 minutes after the end of the game, sobbing (the MANY airplane bottles of Beam did not help the situation). We are still season ticket holders and our 3 year old is already a diehard Hokie.

Virginia Tech is not just a university, it's a way of life.

The game could have easily been 20-3 if Fayscon recovered that fumble (GT wouldnt have scored TD) and we made that field goal. But i am still happy regardless

Ok, just being selfish because I would love to see VT in person. ND, Michigan, MSU, and Ohio State have this area pretty much locked up as far as recruiting. I was hoping with the Pitt and Louisville additions we could start chipping at the edges...Making a road trip to Pitt or Louisville will not be that bad though. Going to try to get into the Ohio State game too.

And we still haven't scored more than 2 touchdowns against an FBS opponent since Duke last season...

Blame me, I stopped taking shots of Wild Turkey. We were scoring when I was taking shots. I have an exam at 11:15...so I clearly wasn't committed enough. I'm sorry everyone.

The passing playbook looked a bit more open but the run game was not there. I'm sure they have some counters built into the base offensive package somewhere...

They took our RBs away and made Logan run and make passes down field to beat them. He did that well. I think last night's performance will make teams put more emphasis and player on stopping Logan which will open up our run game a bit.

If teams want to continue to give Logan the chance to win the game, let 'em. They're choosing between a R-FR RB and a Senior QB with a lot of experience.

Just out of curiosity, do total defense too. Curious how we stack up there at about 241.2 yds/game

Me too. I giggled with glee on every false start knowing that another camera shot of PJ's sour face and "What the f&*$ are you doing?!" was only seconds away. Must have GIF's of this please!!

Whatever works, I'll take it. As I said in another post, Logan is our best weapon. It is no surprise that teams going forward will load up the box to stuff our running game and force Logan to beat them. Logan won!
