Kid from Blacksburg high kicked a 47 and 55 yarder Friday night. 55! That kid better have a scholly letter today.
Oh man, I was there for this as well. This was the biggest snowball fight of my 4 years. Going to upper quad and getting yelled at from the door from someone who was clearly in command got interesting. While he was yelling at us everyone on our side was saying to the next guy, "throw a snowball at him". No one did, meanwhile there were groups of people around the back of the building throwing snowballs into any open window they could find, and cadets throwing snowballs laden with piss back at them, or so my friend reported.
Then the car getting pushed into the drill field opposite Eggleston, and the epic 1,000 man snowball blast of the douche dropping his girlfriend off at Eggleston. This started when the girl mouthed off "don't fucking throw snowballs at me" after an errant snowball unintended for her came too close. I saw her get hit by 20 at least before she managed to escape into the building. The guy must have been hit well over 50 times as he ran to his car.
the great thing was that everyone, cadet and civilian, had a great time and no one started anything other than a snowball fight.
If that's true there's no way we'll see that guy kick again.
The only Keyserling kick from this weekend that i have a huge issue with is the 2OT one of course, he's gotta make those distances (and game winners) every time.
I still don't understand why we aren't recruiting great kickers. You're telling me there isn't a good kicker in VA, NC, MD coming out of high school every year that we wouldn't have a huge shot at landing??
Finally found it! Though it's not the best quality.
EDIT: Didn't notice that afreitas112's post had a link. Oops.
Unfortunately, no. I never got around to trying it. Then it closed...
Why would you waste a 120 minute like that???
I had it at the Gaithersburg location back in early June. It was also on tap in late July I believe.
@ShaiMcK_5 surprised me tonight.. i have to say that we'd look even better if we were dressed in VT colors pic.twitter.com/E5qZelIGFlβ Alex Cozza (@allypoppins) August 4, 2013

So give him the turkey legs!
SAY IT! SAY IT! -Sam Kinneson
In the immortal words of Gomer Pyle, "Surprise, surprise, surprise..." Beamer must be ripped after giving CoJo a huge second chance. Hope the young man gets his priorities straightened out soon. The team has nearly lost 2 games, with much of the blame going to all of the missed FG's. Frustrating, to say the least.
And GT has definitely dealt with that battering ram in in their very own stadium.
Ludwig did have some pretty impressive FG kicks in high school. I saw him play several times.
Hopefully this isn't true. If so, take solace in knowing that the Keyserling was hitting 50-yard field goals prior to the 2nd half. I know, it is obvioulsy much easier when it doesn't count, but he will step up to the task if he is called upon.
Also, I think I remember reading that Ludwig (the freshman kickoff guy) had some impressive FG stats during high school.
Next man up.
+1 to make it 800
Well it's safe under wraps on the Internets now!

Satisfying is definitely the best adjective for that game.
You make me think of that scene in a Rodney Dangerfield movie, "Back to School" where he states his anti-commie views/or something to that effect and the professor replies, "I like the way you think." And I really hope you're correct.
If Loeffler really is still hiding the playbook it almost bit him in the butt. Still a win though
Not to say all this is true, but you could see this coming a mile away. He was suspended last year for stealing back drugs, so I've always suspected a problem (at least a problem with judgement.)
Then against ECU he suddenly had back spasms and can't make solid contact with the ball (a few of those kicks were Mr. Magoo bad.) I don't think he could have walked a straight line that morning, and I still don't think his bad kicking had to do with his bad back.
I hope we some triple-option against the bees. When Loeffler used it a little in the first game it got me all excited, because our personnel can create match-up problems with it. Think of Rogers on the dive, Logan laying into LB's and Try getting pitches taking on DB's. Our WRs are good at blocking this year, so there is that.
Beamer said it was a one-game suspension but I've been hearing rumors similar to this as well.
I can't blame Keyserling for all those misses anyway. The first one looked like a bad snap that made him stutter step. The second one was from 50 and was blocked. The third I blame on him. Basically what this does is makes anything between the 20 and 35 four down territory. That could actually help us.
Marshall took the same approach as ECU; stop the run and make Logan beat them through the air. They had mother nature playing 12th man for them too, a great game plan if you can count on the monsoon showing up.
GT's defense will probably attack us the same way, committing LB's, shooting gaps and crowding the line. There should be some underneath stuff open in bail-out coverages, and maybe some press man on our receivers to take the short routes away, esp. on third and short.
Logan will pass better (unless there actually IS a cloud hanging over him) and we should see them move the chains in a ECU-like offensive performance. I just hope we have a kicking game when things get crowded inside the 20.
If there actually is a cloud over Logan ("fair-weather" fans seem to notice one) then Loeffler can make good use of Logan's "intangibles"; the 25-carry, defense-resting, 260 pounds of awkward-running battering-ram that can win a game like a crescent wrench can drive a nail.

I absolutely love the model where from 50-20 it's 4-down time. #Statistics
