Hey all. I signed in today for seat selection and it appears that we have some changes from a year ago. It looks like some sections have flipped between general public and student. Also, for reasons unknown, it looks as if the front row of student section 1 is now public:
(Please disregard the arrow that clearly demonstrates my amazing artistic skills).
I went looking for an email or a release from the ticket office outlining changes to seating from last year to this year and I didn't find anything. I also called the ticket office and they weren't sure either.
What y'all think? We taking the SEC OOC strategy cause the ACC schedule is gonna be so daunting? lmao

You honestly can't buy this kind of PR
Not sure how Pry will be as a coach but there is little doubt he is a great ambassador of the #Hokies. pic.twitter.com/sp6cbCAv6Cโ B.A.G. ๐๐ฆ (@BeamerGarage) June 1, 2022
EDIT: Found a new tweet that wasn't locked from being viewed
VT @ ODU is 7 p.m. on Friday 9/2. ESPNU
BC @ VT is 8 p.m. on Saturday 9/10. ACCN
Wofford @ VT is 11 a.m. on Saturday 9/17. ACCN
So the first home game will be a super fun tailgate day before Pry's home opener under the lights. The second home game... not so much

TL;DR: Coach Pry pays attention to moms, and moms love coach Pry
Long Story:
My wife and I are perusing the Grant Park Farmers' Market (in Atlanta) and wind up meeting this wonderful woman who is selling citrus trees. We wind up buying a Lemon tree and a Grapefruit tree from her. They have just started producing fruit, and I'm pretty jazzed about it, but I digress...
Will be rooting for them, my despise for the SEC trumps my hate for UVA.

I thought about just putting this in the current recruiting thread, but I decided it was worthy of a separate more general discussion.
Great 247sports.com article about VT recruiting and their 'blue chip ratio' metric.
The basic premise is that to be a contender, you have to have the blue chip talent. Specifically, any team that contends for a National Championship has to have a roster with >50% blue chippers.
(Spoiler, VT doesn't.)
Its a great read; and sobering.
It's flown off the radar, but the NCAA is moving toward eliminating scholarship limits and allowing unlimited coaches. Great for avoiding antitrust issues, nightmare for whatever's left of parity. From โฆ@NicoleAuerbachโฉ https://t.co/D3P2BwUq1xโ Stewart Mandel (@slmandel) May 11, 2022
So, a few days ago, Will Baizer (well known Texas blogger) tweeted this:
BREAKING: Texas is in the process of putting together a $3M NIL deal to sway Cincinnati DE Oseph Jossai.โ Will Baizer (@WillBaizer) May 4, 2022
Now, if you spend way too much time following college football (like me), or you're a Longhorns fan, you would've gotten the joke: Joseph Ossai is a former Texas player who was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals. Oseph Jossai is a fictional person (hence the joke).

Sources: Under discussion this week at ACC meetings will be the future of scheduling, including the potential to eliminate divisions as early as 2023. This was discussed last week on calls to set up the meetings.
There's a former player (unanonymous and as of now un-verified) doing an AMA on r/CFB. He played 4 years at a G5, then grad-transferred to a P5 program.

Just a heads up to everyone, the seat selection e-mails were sent out a little while ago. Check your times because according to this e-mail, my seat selection time is 6/6/2022 at 3:22 AM. I e-mailed HokieTix to let them know that they may have a computer problem. Or at least I hope it is a computer problem.
EDIT:
HokieTix sent out another e-mail correcting my time. I am now selecting on 6/6/2022 at 3:22 PM. So yeah, it was a computer bug.
