Any win over Duke is nice but destroying a Top Ten Duke that much better
The #11/9 Hokies host #9/11 Duke tonight at 7 PM. Hokies are favored by 1.5; over/under is 117.5. Since this is probably the best women's basketball game being played today, it will not be on TV. You can watch on ACCN extra.
When we played them at Cameron Indoor earlier this year, we hung with them for 3.5 quarters; then took two minutes off and lost by 10. Since we are at home tonight, maybe we can play the whole game and get the win.
Since I am on my golf trip, I really don't have time for much else.

Following a home win over in-state rival UVA and a rare ACC road win, CMY has earned win number 69...nice...at the helm of Virginia Tech's Men's basketball team.
Unfortunately, the loss to BC has probably burst our bubble, barring a run like last year. The Hokies now stand at 15-10 (5-9 in conference) with six regular season games remaining. The Hokies are also currently in the 12 spot for the ACC tournament, and have their work cut out to earn the first round bye in the ACC tournament.
Scoring
The #11 Ladies host #19 Florida State today at 2 PM. The game is on the ACC Network. The Hokies are favored by 4 points with over/under of 142. Both teams have 9-4 records in ACC play and are currently tied for third. The winner will either be tied for third or in third alone depending on how Miami-Duke and Louisville-Clemson play out.
Kitley will be the tallest player on the court by 3 or 4 inches all night. In fact FSU is a relatively short team with two starters at 5'7 and 5'8 and a third at only 6'. However they still average 3 more rebounds per game than their opponents.
We win ACC Roundball, whenever I'm in the Texas Hill Country. Currently in New Braunfels, at the moment.
So if you want to become a "Basketball School," y'all best help me crowdsource that Texas Rancho (with mineral rights!) I aspire to own.
The turf around Bandera, Fredericksburg, Helotes, Hondo, Boerne, Comal County/New Braunfels will all do nicely!

Ladies win for first time at NC State by 12 after coming in 5.5 point underdogs.

The Ladies play at NC State today at 6 PM on ESPN2. NC State is favored by 5.5; the over/under is 134.5. They are good and we are good; but the game is on their court. Hard to win on the road in the ACC.
Just checked on the arrival of my wife's flight and SW is going to be 30 minutes early; and the airport is 65 minutes away. Gotta go. Usual tables below.

No. 13 Virginia Tech (17-4, 7-4 ACC) hosts Syracuse (14-8, 5-6 ACC) in Cassell), at 7 p.m. Thursday night. Fans can watch the game live on ACC Network Extra (ACCNX) through the ESPN app with Bailey Angel and Mack McCarthy on the call.
Syracuse looks to bounce back after Sunday's 79-67 home loss to Louisville. Dyaisha Fair, reigning Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Player of the Week, had 19 points in the loss while Georgia Woolley led the Orange with 20 points off the bench. Fair earned ACC Player of the Week honors after averaging 27.5 points per game in a 1-1 week for the Orange, scoring a season-high 36 points and turning over the ball zero times with a program record-tying eight threes against Virginia.
