Men's March Madness - Conference Tourney Edition
Starting this because there's a lot of story lines that I think need to be discussed before I submit another failed tournament bracket and throw my money away at someone's office pool.

Alright folks it's time for Hokie MBB to defend their title. And time for us fans to pack out the coliseum.
I'll be there Tues.-Thurs. (NC State is my backup team so if just one of us gets a win I'm guaranteed a Thursday game). Got pretty low seats tomorrow, gonna be cheering my ass off.
The Men's Team
The Hokies have ended the regular season on a 2 game winning streak having ended the 3 conference drought in Louisville, and the seniors were sent off with a thorough dismantling of Free Shoes U.
Scoring
Scoring has definitely been on an uptick. Pedulla (15.67 ppg) led all scorers, barely, as Basile finished with (15.33 ppg). Also averaging double figures were (10.67) and Cattoor (10.33), while Rodney Rice nearly missed out with 9.33 ppg. Other scorers included (6.67), Kidd (2.67), Camden (1), Poteat (0.67), and Johnson (0.33).
Ladies weathered a physical beating to send Loserville packing
Winners....maybe a 1 seed
Have to hope Gregg is ok

Haven't seen a thread from the lieutenant so I guess I'll throw up a poor man's thread for the ladies game versus the canes. My prediction is yet another Double-Double from kitley and Hokies win by 8 to send Miami packing.....
Mutts with the double-double
Basile with 18 points
Louisville got hot and closed it to 3, then we went on a tear to end the game winning by 17.

The #9 Ladies (23-4, 13-4) travel to Atlanta to play GA Tech (13-15, 4-13) today at 4PM. The game is on the ACC Network. Hokies are favored by 10.5; over/under of 125. Ga Tech is not good and we are in a game that does not matter to us, I think. Win or lose, I think we are the 3 seed. Notre Dame beat Louisville to clinch the #1 seed. Duke lost to UNC; If we win, we tie Duke for the #2 seed. We split the two games this season; we lost to ND and Duke beat ND, we lose the tie breaker. If we lose and FSU wins, we tie FSU for the #3 seed. I think we hold the tie breaker in head to head against FSU.

I don't know whether to laugh, cry, do both or just shrug this suggestion off.
AJ Swinton who just committed to the Hokies is currently teammates with Bronny James. The article linked above suggests Bronny wants to keep playing with Swinton.
I look at this with heavy speculative eyes. That said, if it were to happen it would obviously be high profile for our program, especially if Papa James started coming to games. It would create a Circus atmosphere around the program but would definitely fill seats. Seeing them together would be awesome.

Not sure what it is but my technology doesnt like Duke either. Piecing this together on my phone.
Duke is coached by Jon Scheyer, who is 19-8 in his debut after sitting in Coach K's shadow for nearly a decade.

The Men's Team
My pessimistic view of the previous window was that we'd go 1-2 with an inexplicable road loss to the Yellow Jackets, and a heartbreaking loss to Miami.
I hate being right some times.
On the bright side, we knocked Pittsburgh out of the top spot in the ACC to give Coach Young his 70th win in Blacksburg.
Scoring
Basile is continuing his torrid scoring numbers, putting up 18.67 over the last 3 games. Joining him in double-figures are Pedulla (13.33), Cattoor (12.67), and Mutts (11.67). Poteat (6), Kidd (5), and Collins (4) provided the bulk of the remaining scoring, while Camden (0.5) rounded out all scorers.
