The #7 Ladies host #13 North Carolina at Cassell Colisseum today at 4 PM. The game will be on the ACC Network with Christy Thomaskutty and Eric Frede during the announcing.
UNC has a couple of 6' 4" players in Teonni Key and Alexandra Zelaya but they play 11-13 min/game, probably when other players have foul trouble. Todd-Williams(2.6 pf/gm), Ustby(2.7 pf/gm), and Adams(3.1 pf/gm) are candidates to spend some time on the bench. In the top 7 players by minutes played, Adams is the tallest at 6' 3".

The Ladies travel to High Point tonight to play 2- 7 the Panthers. This is an ESPN+ game. The only reason I can figure out for playing this game at High Point is so Kitley and King can play close to home.
High Point is not good and this will not be a competitive game. Maybe this is the game Kitley gets her triple double by adding either blocks or assists to her rebounds and points. The tallest player that plays for the Panthers is 6' 1".
The Panthers are 2-7 on the season.

After an 11 and one start and 3 Q1 wins we move one spot to 23 and UNC goes from unranked to 19 after 4 straight losses and a win over Ohio State. Make it make sense!

The Ladies (#6) host Notre Dame (#5) Dec 18 at 4 PM. The game is on the ACC Network. Jenn Hildreth is doing play by play; Jasmine Thomas is the analyst. There has only been one other top ten matchup in Cassell Colisseum. The other happened Feb 17, 1996 when the #10 Hokie men's team hosted #1 UMass; UMass won 74-58.
Former Hokie point guard Dara Mabrey returns to Cassel during what will probably be her final year of college basketball. She played for the Hokies in 2018-19 and 2019-20 before transferring to Notre Dame. She will be playing her fifth year.

Really great story that came out about our men's and women's basketball team yesterday. Spent some time at the Carillon Children's Hospital painting shoes with some of the patients there.

You'll be able to see them wearing the shoes early next year.
The women's basketball coaches and staff will wear the shoes at the Jan. 12 game against Louisville in Cassell Coliseum. The men's basketball coaches and staff will wear their sneakers Jan. 28 when the Hokies host Syracuse.
