I've seen some pretty negative reports from Saturday's game vs. Notre Dame on the /r/VirginiaTech subreddit but didn't see anything on here about it. It seems like it was primarily a student section issue as I had no problems getting in the stadium or to my seat in Section 11. The concession lines seemed to be really long but that was it. I did see some more bottles getting thrown, but it primarily looked like they were from the students as well as a few paper airplanes (again, students).

Lane Questions
Hey all. Headed to the 'Burg for the first time in many years for the Pitt game. Just a few questions here I'm hoping Hokie Nation can help me out with:
1) How far away do I need to park for it to not be insane to find a spot? Could I find a spot without to much difficulty at, say Harrell St.? Otey St.? Farther out?
2) Kickoff at 3:30, when should I get to Lane to at least take in some of the tailgate scene? (Or did COVID kill tailgating?)
3) Hypothetically of course, how difficult would it be to get a flask in through security?
4) Any other random tips?

Former Hokie commit killed in Chesapeake, Va
Deveon Simmons who played at Landstown with Percy Harvin and Damon McDaniel. I saw him play against my high school (Deep Creek) and the guy single handedly shut down Deep Creeks running game. I always wondered how much scarier the Hokies defense would have been with him at Linebacker in the 2005-2010 time frame. Rest in Peace!

This is awkward, my apologies to Virginia Tech, there was a bug that was counting timeouts on 4th downs as lost WP. Poor work by me there. TyJuan Garbutt is back in a big way for the Hokies
I just try to continue to play hard and lead more by example. I'm one of the lighter guys in the room. Unless it's gameday or game situation or we're about to get ready for practice, I'm usually busting someone's chops until we hit the field because I always like for people to be themselves and to be comfortable.
It's nice to make the plays and have all that production. But, even if I didn't make any plays, I'd still be the same Ty.
