Jon sat down with Fuente recently for a 30 minute interview. Nothing super insightful here, but they talk about COVID-19, life, and football. I think you can notice Fuente's a little more comfortable in these one-on-one situations, something I've seen numerous people on here say they've noticed from personal experience. Anyways, didn't see it posted yet, so thought I'd share it.
Johnson is 6'1-6'2 and 200 pounds with room to grow. He is a safety that is expected to grow into a linebacker and has excellent speed. Bud Foster struggled to find roles for speedy undersized linebackers because of the need to set the edge and fill gaps. Johnson will be an interesting test case to find out how new defensive coordinator Justin Hamilton will adjust the defensive scheme to get better speed and tackling in space.

Stadium surveyed FBS athletic directors to gauge their thoughts on whether or not the 2020 football season would happen. They all gave it 5 of 10 confidence or better to be played. However, it's early on in the decision making process.
In a survey conducted by Stadium, all 130 FBS athletic directors were asked to rank their optimism on the upcoming season being played from "1" (will not be played) to "10" (definitely will be played). Of the 130 ADs contacted during the past week, 112 participated in the anonymous survey.

"I'll be shocked if we have NFL football this fall, if we have college football. I'll be so surprised if that happens," Herbstreit recently said according to TMZ Sports.
The ESPN analyst further explained his opinion is based on the fact we likely won't have a vaccine for the coronavirus for some time. When you take that into consideration, it may be tough for football to continue until that time arrives.

"Aaanndddd we're back!" Kudos if you know what popular podcast that's from.
Today we're traveling over to New England to take a look at the Boston College Eagles. BC is replacing not only a top-tier running back in A.J. Dillon, but also a very mediocre coach in Steve Addazio (who finished 4-3 against the Hokies, just saying.)
New Head Coach Jeff Hafley will look to bring in some fresh ideas while also facilitating the hard-nosed culture that has allowed BC to stay afloat over the past 10 or so seasons. Sounds weird to say, but BC is one of the more interesting teams in the ACC next season.
Was good to get everyone back together today on Zoom. First time for everything. Excited to see who will post the best workout Tik Tok π Stay safe everyone. #HardHatMentalityβ Justin Fuente (@CoachFuente) March 23, 2020
I'm glad to see the team is a least trying to think of ways to get something done.
Now to the greater concern; I have a bad feeling the 2020 season will look a lot different than anything we have ever seen in modern American football.
We're all aware that COVID-19 is messing everything up. This thread is not meant to delve into a discussion or debate about the virus, how it's being handled/reported by governments or media outlets, or how people should/shouldn't act. The reality we can all agree on is that stuff is getting cancelled as a direct result of the virus.
With that said, I'm curious how that changes our expectations heading into the 2020 football season. (I'm choosing to remain optimistic that football will still be played come September, though I am well aware that there is a possibility the COVID-19 fallout could delay, shorten, or even force the cancellation of the 2020 football. Let us pray it doesn't reach that point)

Note: This is not COVID-19 related. You're welcome.
It's the barren offseason for college football, which is the perfect time to start back up with looking at some recruiting classes!
I tried going through every ACC team last year, but my tendency to dive way too deep into these things made it so I couldn't get all the teams done before the season started.
So, instead of bringing you anything but my best I'll just start as early as I can this year!
Last year I went alphabetically, so I'll switch it up and go North to South. So, Syracuse, you are on the clock...!
I have been considering doing film reviews of one or two classic games which have a unique appeal to me for TKP. Mulling it over for the last few days, I have picked the following games as ones that I would like to go back and take another look, with the reason why:
1) 2002- Virginia Tech versus Marshall- perhaps the best performance by a Virginia Tech running game I can remember.
2) 1999- Virginia Tech versus Clemson- how did VT scheme to get Corey Moore into space to levy so much pain and havoc?
3) 2009- ChickFilA Bowl- Virginia Tech versus Tennessee- Hokies dominate the Vols to send Lane Kiffin off to more failure at USC
The Hokies star and Super Bowl champion got paid too.
#Chiefs FA CB Kendall Fuller, a versatile defensive piece, is headed to the #Redskins, per me and @TomPelissero. He gets a four-year deal worth roughly $40M.β Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) March 17, 2020
We will suspend all official and unofficial visits to our campus through April 20 while we continue to monitor and adjust to today's changing issues. In addition, our coaches will not recruit off campus this spring while we follow the university's new temporary travel guidelines.β Ryan Day (@ryandaytime) March 11, 2020
Fired up about a big time schedule on the way in 2020...but the biggest day for my family is a non-gameday...Sept. 23 when the real score gets settled....... P.S. shout out Jed at @HokieVision for the scoreboard plug! pic.twitter.com/crmrkk6IEyβ Justin Hamilton (@coach_ham) March 11, 2020
As an aside, as far as baby announcements go, this is one of the better ones.
