Welcome to another year of me trying to find every Hokie on a professional football contract. I will try to find every roster move in NFL as best I can. As always if you see a roster move please add a comment with it. I will not be doing any CFL or arena league anymore. Yeah today sucked because Hokies postponed. But! There was other college football on and Florida State lost.
Because of COVID-19 the Hokies have paused practice for four days and Virginia Tech-Virginia will be rescheduled.

But what do we expect to happen if a coach, maybe even the head coach, gets sick? If Fuente gets sick, do the coordinators just play without him? Do we look to push that game out? All the discussion I've seen is around the players, and it just dawned on me that we probably see some coaching staffs get sick at some point this season
Should any of you have missed the absolutely earth-shattering news that I'm back writing for TKP, consider this my notice that I've picked back up writing that this here website once more. I've missed you all!
But after taking some time to re-charge a bit, and with the benefit of everything moving online to make covering the team remotely possible, I'm pleased to say that I'll be writing about this football season as much as possible once more.
With the announcement that Hendon Hooker will start with Braxton Burmeister getting playing time from Justin Fuente at today's press conference, I thought it would be worthwhile to bring back my review of Burmeister's limited starting stretch for Oregon in 2018. Burmeister replaced Justin Herbert. In that footage, Burmeister showed himself to be very solid in Oregon's read option game. Burmeister was not given many opportunities to push the football down the field and didn't show much when he did get the chance to stretch the field. However, if Burmeister pushed Hooker for the starting role, I expect that his mechanics and accuracy have improved.
Roanoke Times just informed me that Fuente has announce his intention to use at least QBs in the season opener vs UVA. He said Hooker would start, with BB also playing for sure. Both have been receiving time as #1 in practice. Looks like QP is the 3rd string for now, and not sure whether he'll be playing or not.
