Hey Everyone!
So a group of us are looking at going to the game vs. Pitt on 10/16 and were trying to do some tailgating. I've only had student tickets in the past and tailgated in the cage (which is free) so I don't really know how it works with buying a parking spot closer to the stadium? Are they reserved only for season ticket holders or can parking spots be purchased for an individual game? Thanks for the help!
It took me a little longer than usual to get amped for college football season, but I'm counting down the days now. What's one thing that has you excited about this Hokies' squad?
"This is definitely the make-or-break year for Justin Fuente. I think they have to do something really big here to win back the fan base and the culture. On film they still show some of that talent, some of that old magic. They're good on defense, not really spectacular. The issue for them is that they haven't recruited well, so it gets thin really fast. They have ones who can play with anyone, but that's it. Depth is a major issue for them."
I stumbled upon this Billdozer classic, and just imagine Logan Thomas in this system, with a viable running back and wide receivers (which he didn't have in 2012-2013)...
I'm trying to plan a trip up to see a football game this season and haven't been to a home game in over a decade. Anyone have any opinions on best seats for a good game-day experience? Varied opinions much appreciated.
The SEC is now poised to become the first 16 team Super-Conference in the modern era of NCAA CFB. How should the other four "power" conferences respond to this development? Will the SEC stop at 16 teams or will they seek to grow by stealing quality teams from the most likely target, the ACC? Will the dwindling Big12 go belly-up or will they make the best of the situation and start raiding the AAC and Sun-Belt? Do the B1G, ACC and PAC-12 start trying to scoop up teams to join the march towards the new 16-team threshold? The realignment wars are back baby, and will be with us for at least four more years as we wait for the big switch to happen and watch all of the watershed maneuverings that result from this seismic shift in CFB.

Better grab Oklahoma State while you can. And twist Notre Dame's arm to finally get this done. Whatever it takes. What should the plan be? How likely is it to actually come to fruition.
Texas and Oklahoma of the Big 12 have both reached out to the Southeastern Conference about potentially joining the powerful league, a high-ranking college official with knowledge of the situation told the Houston Chronicle on Wednesday.
An announcement could come within a couple of weeks concerning the potential addition of UT and OU to the league, the person said, which would give the SEC 16 schools and make it the first of a national super-conference.
Couple noteworthy nuggets to come out of it already
No policy yet on COVID related delays to games. Not ruling out the possibility of forcing forfeitures for teams needing to back out.
New ACC commish Jim Phillips is here addressing the media for the first time at the kickoff. No announcement of what league will do if a team can't participate due to COVID-19 positives. Strongly encouraged vaccinations for players but did not mandate it. Left it up to schools.— Andy Bitter (@AndyBitterVT) July 21, 2021
